I check their level and then start a lesson what they needs,what is missing for playing the piano. 1)basics trainings (mostly) 2) Étude(based on the trainings) 3)Song To play the piano which needs them to improve for playing. It’s not only basics also teach techniques step by step depends on the students.But it’s no need to be in a rush to get techniques. I approach to their fingertips and arms,shoulder,abdominal muscles,and ears how to use them. I focus not only technique playing and teach also how to listen and feel the harmonies for expressions. I like to see their face when they could achieve everytime, they look so happy and like to teach how much fun to play the piano and they like to play with me(I do accompaniment with students). After that they will get them naturally to express by ourselves by practices. If you want to learn solfege, I can also teach you.
