I have been playing the double bass professionally for 10 years, traveling between Singapore (my home country), Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Mexico, Lithuania, Belgium, Germany, and now The Netherlands. I play mostly jazz, like to compose, and have classical training on the piano. I also play the electric bass.

Since I began my studies at Codarts, Rotterdam, I have been under the mentorship of Stefan Lievestro, Marius Beets, and Frans van Geest.

Composition lessons are for anyone who wishes to compose music, for any instrument, emsemble and/or electronics music.

My teaching method combines various approaches and styles, supporting practice with theoretical knowledge, and most important developing creativity and helping the student in making their imagionary visions come real.

For each student a different palate of tools is offered, according to the student's musical wishes and ambitions.

I teach the basis of western-music composition - theory, harmony, counterpoint, score-reading, solfege, rhythm, analysis and more.
Further I suggest broad overview of world, jazz, pop, new/contemporary music, various styles in electronic music (popular and experimental), improvisatory compositions, graphic notation, text and game pieces, music for theater, film and dance and interdicsiplinary works which combine music with other art fields.

My name is Claudio, I'm an award-winning Italian saxophonist and clarinetist based in Rotterdam.
I studied and graduated in Italy and in the Netherlands, where I finished Master studies in Classical and Jazz Saxophone.
As a musician, I was internationally awarded 8 times in the last 4 years, both as a soloist, band member, and arranger/composer, and I released 7 CDs so far.

Although I have a busy performing schedule (which led me in over 14 countries and 4 continents in these years) I love teaching (one-to-one and online as well) and meet passionate students.

With 20 years of experience as a guitar teacher and as a professional musician, I like to pass on my passion for the guitar to others.
I teach at all levels; from beginners to advanced, and specialize in jazz, flamenco, classical, bossa nova, rock, funk and metal.
On the basis of the level of the student I make a program that suits them, including learning songs with chords, playing riffs, rhythm theory, speed, improvisation, specific techniques, transcription of solos.
I also teach entire bands, using control so that they can play well together.

I am a Dutchman who grew up in Italy where I started in 2010 with saxophone lessons from teachers at the conservatory in Siena. I have been following the Codarts jazz training course in Rotterdam for three years. I have lessons from nationally and internationally renowned musicians, such as Tineke Postma, Benjamin Herman, Simon Rigter and Ben Van De Dungen. I also had the opportunity to study in the beautiful Barcelona for six months at the ESMUC conservatory, with Gorka Benitez and all kinds of other fantastic musicians (Ignasi Terraza, Mario Rossy, David Xirgu, Eladio Reinon).
I have also been active as a teacher for some time.

Hello! Welcome to my Super Prof profile!

Let me express my passion for teaching my instrument and emphasize the utmost importance of developing a deep understanding of sound and rhythm. We will embark on an extensive journey that includes ear training through singing melodies, exploring scales, diving into harmony using the piano, and even a little music theory if you are interested.

Our focus will be primarily on honing our listening skills, as that is the key element. Note that our approach to learning is not to read music notation or rely on written material. We want to enjoy it, and if we ever choose to transcribe music, we can take the opposite route. We will learn to feel the rhythm and then put it into written form.

Apart from teaching the most amazing latin rhythms, In my lessons I apply the stick control book, to achieve a good technique, and at the same time I teach coordination and grooves, with the best methods and books from the most qualified drummers.

I'm a professional drummer from Spain, but living in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I have studied Latin drums at Codarts, university of the arts, in Rotterdam, so I've acquired a lot of knowledge and skills on Cuban and Brazilian music, jazz, funk and Pop.

I, Kaori, have been active in the musical sector as a driven entrepreneur since 2016. At the age of three I started playing the piano, when I was 16 I composed my first piano song, and at the age of 18 I started to conduct small ensembles and create my own multidisciplinary to create projects with a mix of music, theater and other arts. By sharing my love for music, I ensure that the message gets across to the musicians, regardless of their level. My main focus is on playing together, being musically active and having fun in the process.

I believe that every person is different and has different needs and abilities, that's why I like to adapt to my students and take care of their interests. In case the student does not have a clear view, I help him/her to find what appeals to him/her.

If the student wishes, I can easily prepare him/her for the entrance exams for the conservatory.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts.

I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. My lessons are distinguished by their dynamics, practical approach and adaptation to the needs and interests of the student.

Hey there! My name is Yorgos and I am a guitar performer and instructor. Originating from Greece I embarked on musical journey to the Netherlands because of its reach musical scene. For the past eleven years I have been pursuing my musical career in the city of Rotterdam and have been teaching in various musical styles and ages.

At the age of fourteen, I picked up a guitar, and two decades later, it feels like an extension of my soul. With over twenty years of experience strumming and shaping melodies, I’ve spent eleven of those years sharing my passion as a private instructor and performer. My musical journey has led me to teach a diverse range of students—from seven-year-olds to adults—covering everything from the pop and blues to the soulful depths of rock, jazz, funk, and folk.
During my studies at the Royal Conservatory I learned the how work with the basics of the Kodaly solmisation system and In addition I taught ensemble lessons at the International School of The Hague. Further on, I got the opportunity to develop my knowledge on music theory, and gained experience with rhythmic, melodic solfège and sightreading.

These are topics I always like to include in my lessons, because I find them very important not only for the personal growth of each musician, but also for the deeper connection they create between the musician and the instrument.
Finally, even though I like incorporating all the elements mentioned above into my lessons I foremost focus on tailoring the lessons around the needs of every student and helping in any way I can their growth of musical curiosity.
