Our rich and traditional Indian Music is deeply rooted in spirituality. Needless to say, being involved with music brings enormous amount of peace, contentment, and bliss to our lives. I am a vocalist and a music practitioner. I am a disciple of Vidushi Sanhita Nandi ji of the Kirana Gharana. I have completed my masters in Classical Music (Vocal) and aim to spread the knowledge gained by my Gurus among those who are sincere and/or passionate for learning Hindustani Classical Music and light music.

The focus of my classes are aimed at the systematic development and aesthetic appeal of Ragas. For students willing to learn music seriously but with little exposure to learning, I begin with various vocal exercises for pitch accuracy and voice culture. Thereafter, I begin the work of Raga development and presentation. I also teach Bhajans for those who wish to learn 'Sugam Sangeet' (light music.)

Students must have an electronic Tanpura and Electronic Tabla at all times in order to comprehend what is being taught and in order to present what they have been learning.

I have been giving stage performances in various genres across the globe since childhood and have been giving lecture-demonstrations regarding Hindustani Classical Music since 2018. I am extremely grateful for my Gurus who have imparted their hard-earned knowledge to me with so much affection. I strive to understand, analyze, and share the knowledge in a manner that can be comprehended by everyone. I feel more than contented to share and teach music to students who wish to sincerely learn and inculcate music as an integral part of their lives. I do encourage face-to-face learning, however I do also consider the fact that people living abroad do not necessarily get the opportunity to learn Indian Classical Music for various reasons. Therefore, online teaching provides me with the satisfaction to reach out to such students.

I have completed my bachelors and masters degree in Hindustani music (vocal) from the Department of Music, Faculty of Music and Fine Arts, University of Delhi. I have been a university rank holder consistently and have also received a gold medal.

Your body is your instrument when singing. We try to make that instrument sound as beautiful as possible by working on sound formation. This allows the vocal cords to move more freely, so that you get tired less quickly when singing. Your voice becomes fuller and you can sing higher and lower notes.

During the singing lessons we also work on articulation, the pronunciation of foreign languages and also on the meaning of and your feelings about a particular piece. Of course you decide what kind of music you will sing. Whether you sing alone in the shower or whether you are in a choir and encounter certain difficulties in general or with a specific piece? Please feel free to bring your choir part to class and we will see together how we can make this easier for you. We work on repertoire that you love. We can also make a journey of discovery together to your favorite music.

WHO CAN LEARN TO SING?
Everyone can learn to sing. Because of the singing lessons you will notice that singing becomes easier. Moreover, singing is good for relaxation, both of body and mind. Singing is just enjoying!

YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT
As a singer you already have one advantage over instrumentalists: you do not have to buy an (expensive) instrument. You always have your instrument with you, but... you have to take good care of your instrument!

My name is Carmen and I am an opera singer. I studied at the PI Chaykovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the famous Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. I attended many masterclasses in Russia, Italy and Austria with Edda Moser, Renata Scotto, Nino Machaidze etc. I was also a soloist in the Vatican Choir.

I am an Italian soprano, graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy. I work as a soloist as a freelance singer, and I teach singing to students of different levels and ages for many years.
The most important thing during my lessons is to help the student find a healthy and comfortable way of singing!
During the first part of the lesson, we will focus on Technique and breathing, while during the second part of the lesson we will focus on the repertoire chosen together with the student, applying the aspect of the technique that we worked on previously in the lesson.

I have been giving private music lessons and fortepiano for a long time. In addition to my classical music education in 2000, I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychopedagogy in 2006. This year I am interested in expanding my practice to include more students with special needs.
I learned about the different ways music can help students with special needs. It helps them express their emotions and develop their memories and self-regulatory skills.
It can show them strengths that they might not otherwise find during their school day. It can also open their eyes to a whole world of expression and beauty, enriching their lives.
I find out what works for a particular student, what distracts them, what motivates them, what helps them focus and sometimes just learn how to relate to them.

Hi, my name is Jim. I'm an electronic music producer with a Master’s degree in Music from the Fontys Academy of Arts (Rockacademie) in Tilburg, Netherlands. Music has always been my way of exploring the world — through raw field recordings, synthesis, and emotional storytelling. Over the past 12 years, I’ve developed a complete, self-sufficient creative process: from concept to composition, sound design to vocal production, mixing, mastering, and live performance. I’m passionate about helping others gain those same end-to-end technical skills — so they can bring their own musical vision fully to life.

As Malvae, I’ve written, sung, recorded, produced, mixed, mastered, and performed all of my work. My music reached #17 in the Spotify Viral 50 charts in the USA, gathered millions of streams, and featured in international film productions including King of the Streets and Netflix’s Terrace House Japan. One of the most formative moments in my career was my Amazonas album project, where I traveled into the Amazon rainforest to record and manipulate natural sounds. 90% of that album was created entirely from these field recordings, reshaped through granular synthesis and advanced sound design into a cohesive sonic journey. That experience deeply shaped how I approach my music and how I teach sound design and composition.

I’ve headlined shows at iconic venues like Melkweg Amsterdam with immersive, self-built audiovisual live sets using Ableton Live, modular gear, sequencers, and Resolume for live integrated visuals. I curated my own events and performed at venues like A’dam Tower, OT301. I also teach at studios such as Wisseloord in Hilversum, guiding students through the technical and creative intersections of sound and performance.

Selected Works & Collaborations:

My EP Like Bees to a Hive began as a soundscape for fashion brand Lobomar’s collection Final Orders, Please, presented at the Amsterdam World Museum. I collaborated with South African poet Julia-Beth Harris, integrating her spoken word into a seamless, atmospheric release. From sequential Prophet 6 textures to ADX1 drum machine layers and detailed field recordings, I handled every layer, from concept through multitrack production to the final live performance in London.

My Chrysalis EP, released as a limited-edition heavyweight red vinyl, pushed that even further, combining ethereal vocals, analog grit, and unique textures to craft an emotionally rich release. I personally led every part of the project’s technical and creative execution, from arrangement and vocal production to final mixing, mastering and vinyl press preparation.

In addition to my own projects, I’ve worked as a vocal producer and mixing engineer, including on Esther Veen’s EP Before I Go, where I handled recording, complex vocal layering, creative processing, production, multivocal arrangement and final mixing to deliver a polished, high-impact sound.

Hello everyone!
My name is Marion and I come from France. I have been a musician for as long as I can remember. I started when I was a kid as a trumpet player. I played in many different kinds of orchestras and had a lot of fun with this instrument, but it was nothing compare to my love for singing! This is why I decided to become a professional opera singer and I want to share my passion about singing!

What do I offer?
Classical singing lessons for all levels with a focus on opera, songs, oratorio and choir repertoire.
I am based in Utrecht. You are welcome to come to my place, but I can also come to the students.
Lessons can be taught in English or in French, but I also speak a little bit of Dutch.

What will you learn?
The fundamental elements of classical singing such as breathing, posture and resonances for example but also styles, pronunciation, interpretation and repertoire. An important aspect I want to approach in a singing lesson is how to help you find your own voice, both in a technical and in an interpretative sense.
I can also guide you with anything solfège related like how to use and read a score or how to learn a song by heart.

What is my philosophy about singing and pedagogy?
I believe the best way to develop and improve a skill is when the students feel that they are in a safe place where they can dare to experiment but also have fun. This is an essential part of the process of music making and I try to bring fun and enjoyment to every lesson!

About me:
I started my musical studies in my home country in France, at the Conservatoire de Caen and the Conservatoire de Rennes before coming to The Netherlands where I finished my
voice bachelor’s degree at Het Conservatorium van Amsterdam in June 2018.
Two years later I graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy where
I performed the role of Tigrane in Händel’s Radamisto, The Countess of
Dunmow in Berkeley’s A Dinner Engagement, Arsace in Graun’s Cesare and Cleopatra and Fiordiligi in Mozart's Così fan tutte.
Nowadays, I am a freelance soprano working in the Netherlands and in Belgium as a soloist and as a choir singer. I often participate in productions with the choir of the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen in Antwerp or the Groot Omroepkoor in Hilversum.
I was one of the laureates of the edition 2020/2021 of the Dutch Classical
Talent Tour & Award, and I recently won the Handel Choir Jubilee Award.
