The recorder is a great instrument to learn either on its own or as a springboard for transferring to other instruments! Lessons will improve your musicality and your playing, no matter your level, and teach you to enjoy and express yourself through music.

As a beginner, you or your child can expect to learn the basics of music notation and how to read it, and how to play simple pieces on the recorder. Intermediate and advanced students can expect more nuanced lessons on technique, musicality, phrasing, and more. Basic theory and aural skills training will be incorporated throughout, and students can work towards graded exams if they wish.

I am a student at the Guildhall School, specialising in recorder performance. I am an active and experienced performer, and have experience teaching in a variety of contexts.

Hi! I'm Julien, a recorder player from and based in London. I'm friendly and reliable, with professional experience in my field.

I study the recorder at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, one of the country's leading conservatoires, and have worked in music education as a workshop leader, classroom assistant, and individual teacher.
