I consider myself as an outgoing person who likes to have fun. I like to teach in a fun way because learning in a fun environment makes you learn better. I've given tutoring clases in high school and helped people with no resources in Mexico to learn english.

Opleiding

I went to Lycée Franco Mexicain in Mexico City, I speak Spanish, french and english. I finished high school last summer and started going to college in Mexico in September but I moved to Paris in January to study design.

To make a bit more cash and to keep up with my former life as a teacher, I teach some extra classes to teenagers and adults alike. I am a qualified teacher of the English language with a specialisation in working with teenagers who are challenged by ADHD, Autism, ADD and PDDNOS. After working as an English teacher and mentor in different types of schools in the Netherlands, Belgium and South Africa I am currently living in Paris and very motivated to help students improve their English in different ways.

I used to successfully run a homework institution before leaving the Netherlands where I helped teenagers focus, plan, learn and reflect on their own process. For the last few years, I've been working for a prestigious language agency in France. I have a lot of experience working with kids and teenagers. Each tutorial is geared around the needs of the individual child. Some children are visual learners, others are more tactile, while others still have difficulty focusing.

For beginner students, we work with visuals and then we do a lot of role playing, identifying the visuals we revised earlier. One of the games we play that kids love is The Grocer, where they sell or buy the items on display. We also play The Pub ( restaurant) and we use real menus and paper money. There's lots of signing and dancing, of course....

For the older kids, we work on things such as poetry, audio-skills by watching and discussing video clips, and lots more. I have one ESL student who is interested in literature and we tackled some of the easier classics like Hemingway. I also assign projects such as creating an English YouTube channel, a comic book series, cooking presentations, to name some of the best projects I've had over the years.

I have experience teaching through the net. In the past we've used Skype, since it's free (unlike zoom ). I've taught students as young as 9 through Skype.
