I’m a native English speaker with a BA in English and communication and a TEFL certificate to teach English in a foreign language. I have experience teaching French kids and I am extremely passionate about teaching English because I find it so rewarding to see the progress! I work out a class type according to your level of English, I use games, songs and theoretical teaching all to make up a well balanced class.

I studied Journalism with other majors like english literature, psychology and media law. I have a deep passion for writting and literature as a whole as I find it interesting to study the different literature themes throughout time and why wwriters wrote about the things they did.

With that being said my hobbies include writing, apart from my current job as a copywriter for global Ad agency TBWA, i also write part time for an online magazine based in Cape town, my articles are opinion based social observations. Another hobby is hiking-my family and I have hiked all over South Africa like the famous, 5 day Otter trail, The whale trail and many small hiking trails in South Africa. My other hobbies include reading, listening to music, hanging out with friends and also digging up and researching the best movies of all time and watching them.

For the last few years, I've been working for a prestigious language agency in France. I have a lot of experience working with kids and teenagers. Each tutorial is geared around the needs of the individual child. Some children are visual learners, others are more tactile, while others still have difficulty focusing.

For beginner students, we work with visuals and then we do a lot of role playing, identifying the visuals we revised earlier. One of the games we play that kids love is The Grocer, where they sell or buy the items on display. We also play The Pub ( restaurant) and we use real menus and paper money. There's lots of signing and dancing, of course....

For the older kids, we work on things such as poetry, audio-skills by watching and discussing video clips, and lots more. I have one ESL student who is interested in literature and we tackled some of the easier classics like Hemingway. I also assign projects such as creating an English YouTube channel, a comic book series, cooking presentations, to name some of the best projects I've had over the years.

I have experience teaching through the net. In the past we've used Skype, since it's free (unlike zoom ). I've taught students as young as 9 through Skype.
