Hi everyone and nice to meet you! I have two years of teaching experience. I like interactive methods and teaching through songs, poems, and cinemas. I also give grammar exercises but do not overload you. Promise that lessons will be fun, easy-going and productive. We are going to use modern materials in the classes which I prepare myself.
My own studies were in English so I always practice language myself.
If you are interested in studying Russian or English languages I can teach them both.

I hail from a small country in Eastern Europe - Moldova. My mother tongues are Russian and Romanian but I have been studying English all my life. I have made my bachelor's in St. Petersburg, Russia, and have just graduated from the master's program at the University of Helsinki, Finland. I studied social siences and enjoyed it a lot. I like reading, traveling, teaching languages, and study them by myself.

I have been teaching Russian for two years in Helsinki both to adults and children. I like the interactive methods and teaching through songs, poems, and movies. My teaching method is natural when you learn by listening and speaking mostly. I also give grammar exercises but I won’t overload you. Promise that the lessons will be fun, easy, and productive. I prepare the materials for classes myself, so you have only to come to a class with a positive attitude! I receive very positive feedback from my students!

If you've lost confidence in English or German, want to start from scratch or want to perfect already present knowledge, I can help you achieve your goals, drawing on 20+ years of successful teaching.

I spent my childhood and teens moving back and forth between Germany and America (attending local schools) as a French citizen, so in addition to being a native speaker of both languages, I am also sensitive to individual concerns that can come up e.g. shyness, difficulty expressing oneself, etc. I have taught private students from all walks of life in Germany, France, Hungary, UK, USA, and now Finland, focusing on anything from run-of-the-mill tutoring to specific needs e.g. confidence in public speaking, social settings related to work, preparation for college / grad school.

My method is to motivate students by setting challenges that let them see their own success. Each country also has its own method of teaching and learning, which can greatly assist in acquiring language skills.

You will gain confidence, speak with ease, learn to speak as naturally as a native speaker and know the difference between their / they're / there at the very least.

I specialize in teaching English for TOEFL exams, as well as for high school students. If you have anything you are not doing well in, please do let me know before the session. For TOEFL takers, tips for how to score well can be provided during the class, as well as some practice exercises.

I have a student-centred approach based on a mutual discussion about what goals you want to achieve and the duration to realize them.
