I have had the privilege of teaching across the UK education system, from primary schools in various counties to postgraduate courses at five universities. Throughout this journey, I have shared my passion for drums and percussion with students at all levels, from beginners to postgraduate scholars.
I believe in creating an inclusive learning environment where anyone with a genuine enthusiasm for music can thrive. This enthusiasm is essential for success in any musical journey! My primary goal is to equip students with practical methods and options that empower them to reach their individual goals.

I am passionate about Drums and Percussion in all forms and styles, I love sharing my experiences and views with my students in order for them to fulfill their musical potential

Education
In the Summer of 1996, he successfully completed a 3 year Master’s degree at The Royal Conservatoire of The Hague, in Holland. He studied at the National School of Music of the University of Mexico, finishing with first honors in 1992.
Expérience / Qualifications
Alonso has taught at all levels of the education system in the UK, from primary school years in different counties to postgraduate level at five universities: the University of Leicester, De Montfort University, and Birmingham City University. He teaches at Royal Holloway University in London, the University of Chichester, and Windlesham House School. He has taught at Portsmouth Grammar School and West Sussex Music Trust in Worthing. I am committed to ensuring they have a sense of direction and progress, encouraging them to excel through the exam syllabus. However, the choice ultimately lies with them. I have successfully guided numerous students from beginners to Grade 8 in Drumkit and Orchestral Percussion with all significant music boards, including ABRSM, Trinity College, and Rockschool.
Additionally, my extensive studies make me confident in delivering professional results across a wide range of musical styles. Three of my students have pursued Music degrees at different universities, including King's College London, Royal Holloway, and the University of West Sussex.
