Private Violin lessons in Amsterdam, with a specific focus on the "Suzuki Talent Education". I teach children from ages 4 up to the conservatory level. My main teaching approach is based on the principles of the Suzuki Method. The lessons are tailored to the specific needs of each student, including game-like exercises and space to be creative and have fun!. I also teach adults who play the violin as a hobby. What is the Suzuki Method? Developed by Shin'ichi Suzuki, a Japanese violinist, and pedagogue who was one of the most influential ones of the 20th century. Through a life-long process of experiences, research and evolution, S.Suzuki created the "Mother Tongue Method" based on the observation that all children learn to speak their native language with ease through listening and repetition. He believed that since very young children could master the complexity of their native language, they could also master playing the violin. The Suzuki Method not only contributes to the development of the musical abilities in children but it is also a great and powerful influence on a child's growth as a human being and their social values, sensitivity, discipline and love for life. “Musical ability is not an inborn talent but an ability which can be developed.
