I am a friendly and patient guy who enjoys teaching and learning. I want to build my experience as an English teacher and provide you with lessons that are both comfortable and challenging. I am 26 years old from New Zealand, living in Rovaniemi. I have some experience in volunteer teaching and have found it very rewarding. For students, I will encourage you to speak, listen, read, and write. I am creative in how I deliver information and try my best to develop your understanding. I can provide fun and relaxed guidance, or serious classes. I will always be professional, the style is up to you and how you prefer to learn. When we enjoy the content and method of learning, we engage in the activity with all our focused attention. This is the emerging science of "flow state." Acquiring a new skill is made easier and more efficient when the activity is enjoyable. I believe teaching can be more effective by delivering lessons in ways that suit the individual, where possible. Practice is necessary for any skill you wish to master. Together we can have conversations, do job-related learning, and improve writing and reading comprehension. I do not speak enough Finnish to translate for the student, so it is necessary that you have at least some English listening ability. I am naturally good with people of all ages. If you and a friend want to organize a group lesson that is also ok.
