Classes will be 45 min for the children aged 4-5.*
Classes will be 60 min for the children aged 6.
Classes will cover basic language, starting with alphabets, numbers, days, months, time and ending with simple SVO sentences.

Hello,
My name is Joëlle and I am a part-time French tutor. French is my mother tongue and i was brought up fully bilingual (French and English) along Basic Chinese.

It has been more than 2 decades since I started giving French tuition. I started while an undergrad in NUS (BA).

After getting married, I moved out of Singapore due to my husband's job and continued giving French lessons wherever he was posted overseas.

We moved back in 2011 for my eldest entry in Primary School. And I resumed my French tuition services here for students taking French as a 3rd language and Mother Tongue in Lieu. Both of my children sat for French as MT in lieu until JC.

So I can assure you, I have the required experience and expertise to enable any student taking French for O levels, IGCSE, A levels, DELF and IB.

French for Primary School Students taking French as Mother Tongue in Lieu

Classes will be for students who signed on for French as Mother Tongue in Lieu. Hence they will require to sit for French as the O level and JC level to complete their O level and A level certificates within the Local Education System.

Classes in primary will focus on Basic Grammar and Communication skills via story telling, comprehension skills and customised exercises for grammar and vocabulary.

Classes will be 60mins long for Lower primary and 90mins long for upper primary.

French as Third Language, Second Language and Mother Tongue in Lieu

My lessons are crafted using customized and constantly revised worksheets, focusing on Grammar, orthography and Vocabulary both written and spoken. Classes will be held at my place (near Kembangan MRT Station) or online.

I teach French, Spanish, English, Ukrainan, Russian, and Portuguese!
I am an enthusiastic tutor who can make learning fun and relevant. I aim to make ideas clear to the student, in order that they can use them fluidly and flexibly, and to encourage genuine understanding. I enjoy teaching and believe learning starts with the learner, adapting ideas and course content to meet their interests and needs.
I have been teaching these languages for 15 years. I have a Master's degree in English language and literature, a Master's degree with honours in Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business and a Master's degree in International Law. I also earned diplomas from the Ministry of Education of France : DELF; Spanish diplomas DELE from Cervantes Institute (Madrid), German diploma from Goethe Institute and Japanese - Language Profiency diploma (Tokyo).
I am experienced both with teaching children and adults for business, pleasure or exams. I prepare students for their GCSE/iGCSE, IB leading them to enter leading prep schools and universities
We practise speaking, reading and writing with my students.
