Looking for a teacher who asks what you enjoy playing?
My philosophy centres on making music relevant to my students. Therefore, i'm open to teaching a wide variety of musical genres ranging from the Classics to pop to modern eg. movies and popular animation soundtracks (Studio Ghibli) etc. With my experience, i can tailor teaching syllabus that caters to my students' motivation and ability. This way, they can enjoy and appreciate music through piano, and also improve their skill set for note reading, score deciphering and deepening their knowledge base of the style that they relate to

Über mich

My name is Sam and i'm a piano teacher from Singapore. My wife is french and our family just relocated back to the south of France this summer

I have been teaching piano for the last 25 years, giving private lessons to students of all levels and ages ranging from 5 to 64 years old. And my students were mostly expatriates from mainly the French (of course!) and the American communities in Singapore

As for my teaching style, i would describe it as pragmatic and open. My philosophy centres on making music relevant to my students. Therefore, i'm open to teaching a wide variety of musical genres ranging from the Classics to pop to modern eg. movies and popular animation soundtracks (Studio Ghibli) etc. With my experience, i can tailor teaching syllabus that caters to my student's motivation and ability. Simply put, my ultimate goal is to help my students enjoy and appreciate music through piano, and also to improve their skill set for note reading, score deciphering and deepening their knowledge base of the musical genre that they relate to

Piano teacher graduated from the 1st prize of the Paris Conservatoire and Royal of Brussels, professor of music training at the Academy of Music of Monaco, accompanist pianist at the municipal school of Gémenos, I offer courses tailored to each according to your own motivations and skills. Russian, French and German fun and motivating methods (singing, deciphering, writing, improvisation, piano four hands ...). An audition closes the school year by rewarding the efforts of each and educational outings to the best concerts in the region are organized throughout the year. My classes are for motivated students who have an acoustic piano or want to buy it. in the latter case, I would be of good advice, knowing the best craftsmen and professionals of the sale of pianos.

Concertist and teacher, Johanna studied piano solo at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin Hanns Eisler and now continues them as a Master at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

A committed pedagogue, Johanna favors the expansion of the repertoires mastered by her students, and associates improvisation, harmony and knowledge of the context (historical and musical) to these courses.

She has taught at the Franco-German Music School in Berlin and at the Conservatoire in Rouen and now holds a class at the Ecole de Piano de Rouen.
Johanna pursues a career as a concert artist, she plays regularly in chamber music with her trio Hémisphères and as a soloist in various repertoires in France and Germany _Paris, Berlin, Rouen, Baden-Baden, Aix-en-Provence ... She plays in the Musique Dans la rue, Piano Demain, Jeune Talents, Piano Tremplin festivals, and received a special prize.
Graduated from the Hanns Eisler School in Berlin. She was a pupil of Stephen Arnold and Konrad Maria Engel. She is also a student of Frédéric Aguessy, and has benefited from lessons given by Jean-Claude Pennetier, Ralph Gothoni, Cécile Hugonnard-Roche, Anne Queffelec, Philippe Entremont, Yovan Markovitch, Isabel Charisius and Hervé Nkaoua.

In addition, she followed a course in conducting, analysis, harpsichord and accompaniment.
She is currently pursuing a Master's in choir conducting in partnership with the Sorbonne and a Master's in solo piano at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
She studied the physiological posture of the musician in Berlin accompanied by a solid practical training in the areas of kinesis management, relaxation, and breathing (Pilates, Alexander Techniques, Feldenkreis, School of Breathing, School of the back).
She can give lessons in French, English, German.
