You need the TCF IRN for:

● an application for French nationality;
● an application for a long-term resident card;
● an application for a multi-year residence permit;
● validation of level A1 as part of the OFII citizen course.

Naturalization: a B2 level is required.
Resident card: level B1 is required.
Multi-year residence permit: level A2 is required.

The TCF IRN is made up of 4 compulsory tests and has a total duration of 1 hour 35 minutes:

● Oral comprehension: Group test: 25 multiple-choice questions (4 answer choices, only one correct answer). Duration: 20 minutes.
● Written comprehension: Group test: 25 multiple-choice questions (4 answer choices, only one correct answer). Duration: 35 minutes.
● Written expression: Group test: 3 exercises. Duration: 30 minutes.
● Oral expression: Individual face-to-face test with an examiner: 3 exercises. Duration: 10 minutes.

I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file.
