This session will be centered around the purpose of the present continuous, how it should be used and when to use it. During this session we will focus on the formation of the tense, breaking down different sentences in order to better understand endings of words using -ing.

Throughout the course of the lesson there will be a mix of production exercises, with a blend of both speaking and written tasks used. For example, an event of the daily events of a business worker will be looked at, with numerous continuous verbs used. At the end of the lesson, we will also begin to discuss the continuous action in the past and future.

I am a native speaker of English, which I have taught in various public schools across Spain, as well as remotely with numerous language academies. My name is Laurie and I am an independent FLE teacher, graduated in French and Romance Languages and Literature since 2012. I have eight years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I created a learning method for online courses. I have been preparing students for the DELF, DALF, TCF, FIDE, admission exams, etc. for several years.

The course includes:
-The material (articles, videos, exercises based on images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises, etc.). I use google doc, so the ideal is to have a gmail address to be able to access it.
-Correction of exercises outside the course (written expressions are corrected outside the course, or with the student, depending on their needs).
-Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone.
-A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar/conjugation, sent after each lesson.
-If necessary, a recording of the vocabulary (for beginners).
-Carrying out online exercises and tests based on the vocabulary sheets sent.
-Motivation, laughter, good humor :-)

My method:
-It is oral based.
-For grammar, I use a particular method which allows oral structures to be automated.
-We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises to pose your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-)
-Everything goes through the oral before going through the writing but I obviously adapt to the needs of the students.
-The course is a little different for children and teenagers: I use interactive games and cards via the webcam.
