Hi everyone

My name is Matilde, I'm 29 years old and I come from Montpellier. I have been living abroad for almost 8 years, first in Portugal then in Germany where I am still living.
My main hobbies are: traveling, spending time with my family (mainly in Portugal) and going to coffee with my friends, cooking, seeing theater plays and walking in parks or at the beach.

I have a Bachelor degree in applied foreign languages (LEA) as well as a Master degree in FLE (French as a foreign language). My mother tongue is French but I also speak Portuguese and English fluently.

After that I taught in a "VHS '' which is a German language center offering evening classes for adults. Since the health crisis I have been giving French and Portuguese online lessons. At the same time, I became a language trainer at AFB-Línguas'', "Yesnyou" and "Lingoda".

Since I am a good listener, dialogue and trust are essential points for me.
I like to vary the types of documents and work on several skills simultaneously in order to make it motivating.
I will also emphasize oral expression because I think that a language is above all a tool for communication and sharing. However, I am perfectly aware that daring to speak is not easy. That's the reason why I will kindly encourage you to express yourself. I will always make sure that you feel comfortable and not afraid to make mistakes.

In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?).
