I have over 20 years of experience teaching French to second language learners and native speakers. I will help you achieve all your French language learning goals, such as understanding native speakers, speaking, reading and writing. I will guide you as we choose the right levels to target for grammar, vocabulary, sentence structures and expressions. We will use real life situations, such as ordering food, talking about health concerns, transportation, personal interests and any activities that are part of your day-to-day life. I want what I teach to be personally relevant to you, so that you can better understand and remember what we cover together. It is my mission to meet you where you currently are in your learning and to gradually, step by step, help you meet your goals. I will suggest homework so that you can practice and apply what you have learned with me. I will ensure that you enjoy learning French and as a team we will meet your goals.

TECHNOLOGIES AT THE SERVICE OF LEARNING.

My name is Laurie and I am an independent FLE teacher, graduated in French and Romance Languages and Literature since 2012. I have eight years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I created a learning method for online courses. I have been preparing students for the DELF, DALF, TCF, FIDE, admission exams, etc. for several years.

The course includes:
-The material (articles, videos, exercises based on images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises, etc.). I use google doc, so the ideal is to have a gmail address to be able to access it.
-Correction of exercises outside the course (written expressions are corrected outside the course, or with the student, depending on their needs).
-Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone.
-A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar/conjugation, sent after each lesson.
-If necessary, a recording of the vocabulary (for beginners).
-Carrying out online exercises and tests based on the vocabulary sheets sent.
-Motivation, laughter, good humor :-)

My method:
-It is oral based.
-For grammar, I use a particular method which allows oral structures to be automated.
-We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises to pose your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-)
-Everything goes through the oral before going through the writing but I obviously adapt to the needs of the students.
-The course is a little different for children and teenagers: I use interactive games and cards via the webcam.
