About me:
Armando was born in Salerno (Italy) and He started to play music at the age of 10. He graduated in classical percussions (2007) at the "G. Martucci" Conservatory of Salerno where He studied with the teacher Carlo Di Blasi, He obtained a Bachelor in Jazz Music (2010) ar the "L. Refice" conservatory of Frosinone and a Master in Jazz Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium of Den Haag (Holland) in the 2012. Here He had the chance to study with the Dutch jazz master Eric Ineke, John Ruocco, Joost Patocka and Stefan Kruger. In 2009 Armando won a scholarship for studying one year at the Conservatoire Royal of Bruxelles (Belgium) where he had the opportunity to study with the famous Belgian drummer Bruno Castellucci and to play with many famous jazz players such as: Bob Mover (USA), Dmitry Baevsky (Russia), Frank Vaganée, Bert Joris, Steve Houben, Phil Abraham (Belgium), John Ruocco (USA), Jean-Louis Rassinfosse (Belgium), Bo Van Der Werf (Belgium), Richard Rousselet (best horn Player at the Monteaux 1971), Jean-Paul Estievenart, Fabian Fiorini ect. During his career Armando has achieved several awards : Jury prize with CCFM in the contest "Antonio Barezzi Live 2008" (Italy), 1st prize with Ipocontrio (Italy) at the "European Jazz Contest 2009" in Rome, 1st prize with the Unespected 4 at the "Dinant Jazz Night 2010" in Belgium, finalist with Vincent Thekal trio (France) at the "Jazz A Vienne 2011", 2nd prize with Filippo Bianchini Quartet at the "Jimmy Woode European Jazz Award 2012"; where Armando also won the "Best Drums Player Prize".

I have 15 years of experience as a professional musician with more than 40 recorded albums and concerts around the world. I have played many different musical styles and have a formal education: Bachelor in Jazz percussion at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, NL. My lessons focus on a complete basis (technique, "sound", tempo, vocabulary of the music) to be able to play different musical styles. Depending on the wishes of the student, however, the lesson may be more specific.

If you are a beginner of advanced drummer or you need help with a song of your favourite band, i'm here to help you out!
I teach drums to students of any level.
Also every age (kids and adults) and in every style.
In the classroom we have 2 drumsets available and a PA system to play along with music. You just need to bring earplugs.

A seasoned and passionate musician since the age of 15, I gave my first lessons more than 10 years ago. I am an excellent pedagogue, and I adapt to the level of the student, whether in terms of technical mastery of the instrument, ability to read notes (or tablature), as well as understanding music theory and of the theory. I put myself at the service of the student, his level and his tastes and musical projects. I have a thorough knowledge of music theory, particularly in jazz, and a long experience of playing together (jazz, rock and progressive metal). I can thus provide the theoretical elements necessary for the student to fully appropriate his instrument, at his own pace, and be able to play in a group, invent bass lines, improvise and compose pieces.

The bass is the most important instrument in a musical ensemble, whether in jazz, rock, blues, funk, metal or pop. She is the benchmark for all other musicians, she defines both rhythm and harmony, and she literally makes the bodies of the listeners vibrate.

The trumpet is a wonderful instrument. I therefore propose to initiate those who would be interested as well as to help people who are already familiar with this instrument. I've been playing this instrument for 14 years, 10 of which in a conservatory, and I never got tired of it.

My way of teaching is mainly based on the management of one's breath and the development of one's musical ear, with breathing exercises, listening, technique etc.
Thus, my method is just as suitable for young children who want to learn this instrument, as for older people.

My goal is to advance the student without discouraging or overloading with work. That the desire to learn continues.

In support, I can lend manuals and sheet music (although I strongly recommend having your own) as well as teach music reading.

My name is Elliott and I have been teaching drums and percussion for around 13 years now. I have two master's degrees: one in percussion performance and the other in music pedagogy. I am from Canada so I speak English and French as native languages and I also speak German (C2) and Dutch (B1).

I am comfortable teaching any style of drums or percussion at any level. I can teach anything from notation, sight reading, improvisation, advanced techniques, etc.

During our classes, we will learn the basics of drumming (rudiments), work on coordination, and work together to learn music that you enjoy.
