I am a second year university student and studied English Literature at A-level and English Literature and Language at GCSE. I specialise in the AQA set texts Jekyll and Hyde and Lord of the Flies, but can also help with other areas of the AQA curriculum. I teach essential revision and exam techniques that enabled me to gain a grade 9 at GCSE. A typical English Literature lesson consists of creating example essay plans, learning advanced literary devices, and identifying and analysing quotes relevant to essay topics. English Language lessons concentrate on comprehension and analysis of given texts. In addition, I provide detailed instruction on the mark scheme to ensure students allocate the correct amount of time to each section in the exam in order to gain the highest grades. I can also set and provide feedback on homework between lessons.
