I specialize in image processing and machine learning. I have been involved in many industrial image processing projects including still images, video processing, medical images, and satellite images. I also have many years of university level teaching experience. The course is designed to introduce image processing concepts and its applications by means of practical examples using OpenCV. OpenCV is a powerful image processing library commonly used in industrial applications. OpenCV provides both high-level and low-level features for handling visual data. Although OpenCV is better compatible with C/C++, Python provides the opportunity of concentrating on the main concepts rather than the syntactic details. The course requires basic programming knowledge. However, for those who are familiar with Python and some initial image processing concepts, a more advanced course can be tailored.
