Enseignant diplômé (DEEM, à savoir niveau secondaire II) en latin et en grec, je propose des cours de latin et de grec (tous niveaux, du secondaire I à l'université), qu'il s'agisse de soutien scolaire, de rattraper des années pour intégrer une section avec latin/grec ou une formation demandant des connaissances de latin/grec ou simplement de se (re)plonger dans l'étude des langues anciennes.
En outre, utilisant régulièrement l'allemand, que ce soit dans mon activité d'enseignant ou dans celle d'arbitre (aussi bien sur le terrain que dans le cadre de traductions que j'effectue pour swiss unihockey), je donne également volontiers des cours d'allemand, que ce soit comme soutien scolaire ou par exemple pour se préparer à un diplôme de langues (je suis d'ailleurs titulaire du Goethe-Zertifikat C1).
Enfin, les langues anciennes représentant un atout indéniable pour l'étude des langues modernes, en particulier des langues romanes, je propose également un soutien en français, notamment en orthographe et en grammaire, pour l'école bien entendu, mais aussi pour les personnes qui souhaiteraient simplement améliorer leur orthographe et/ou leur manière de s'exprimer par écrit.

I am a native speaker of Greek. I graduated from a Greek high school and, later, the University of Athens where I attended courses in pedagogics, psychology, and linguistics.

During our lessons, I'll help you develop your skills (oral/written, and not only). I'll also try to help you improve your pronunciation and spelling. I assign homework and after I receive it, correct it thoroughly additionally providing a lot of remarks/examples if they are necessary.

I worked at a language center between 2009-2016 where I was a director of studies and taught mainly English as a foreign/second language. Since 2005, when I first started teaching Greek, I have taught children and adults on a variety of language proficiency levels, mainly individually.

I constantly seek progress, meaning that I study further through reading books/articles concerning didactics/methodology and learning difficulties (chiefly dyslexia), observing other teachers as well as attending seminars (online or face-to-face).

During my lessons I use :
- Skype/Whatsapp/Messenger to connect with you,
- Google Docs to keep notes, which you can check at any time and they are yours to keep,
- sketch board me to make mind maps to show connections between ideas, etc.
- books, PPP, word docs, diagrams, pics, etc.
- pronunciation/spelling/grammar games,
- authentic materials were taken from websites.

I adore my profession and desire each and every one of my students be satisfied with the lesson. That's why I make sure the atmosphere is stress-free and nice. I also want my lessons to be as effective and close to real-life needs as possible. Therefore, I make sure they are well-prepared, although they can be altered at any point, should such an opportunity arise. I like explaining things in a variety of ways as well as make use of dictionaries, diagrams, etc. When it comes to students who want to obtain certificates, I am very demanding.

An introduction to the basic syntactic and grammatical phenomena of the ancient Greek language. We use texts from the ancient Greek Literature (Ancient Greek History, Tragedies and Myths) as well as the Bible or Byzantine Hymnology in order to better understand the structure and way of thinking of the Greek language. The course is addressed to anyone who either has or doesn't have a knowledge of the Greek language. It is built as a personalized course, based on each student's level, motivation and learning needs.

I offer French courses and I am certified as an examiner and invigilator for DELF-Sorbonne exams by the French Institute of Greece. French courses also for English speakers.

Associate professor of Grammar (= Classical letters with an ancient linguistic emphasis), doctor in Comparative Literature (Paris IV-Sorbonne), gives courses for aggregators (internal or external competition), on the Greek part of the program:

I offer you a new learning experience.

To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.

My offer is aimed at both teenagers and adults who want to acquire a solid foundation of the Latin language without the time-consuming diversions of absurd school methods.

I offer individual or group lessons for Latin. The methods are based on cognitive science and, in particular, comparative linguistics. My flexible programme can be tailored to your individual needs.

What is particularly important to me:

motivating my students and help them establish a learning rhythm;
encouraging their creativity;

strengthening their memory by training their phonological loop;

Le latin n'est pas difficile pour peu que l'on désire l'apprendre sans a priori.
Il faut de la rigueur (comme en mathématiques) et un peu d'intuition.
