Hello all! My name is Daria. I teach Russian (my native language), English (C2 certificate), Polish (C2 certificate/near native level), Serbian (C1 certificate) and Romanian (C1 certificate). I have been working as a teacher/tutor for more than 10 years. I do not only have excellent reviews from my students - I know that for many of them learning became a hobby.

Besides teaching, I have done a lot of translation (including published literary works), linguistic research and "field" dialectology. I also wrote and edited different kinds of text. So I believe to know languages as structures from every possible angle.

My diversified experience helped me to develop a teaching approach which combines scientific methodology with a lot of fun, improvisation and creative work. My students not only learn how to communicate in one of five languages I teach - they learn the culture and start to really dive into it.

First Spanish lesson: Yes, as weird as it may seem, we have opening question and exclamation marks "¿¡!". See? First lesson done, the rest is as just as easy and fun!
I have been tutoring in languages for 8 years, and have covered several ranges. I have a BA in Linguistics and my research career focuses on language acquisition, so I know how your brain works when it is introduced to a new language! More than experience, I believe learning new languages is essential and beautiful, and will give you a unique experience to understand Spanish-speaking cultures. In my experience, the best outcomes come from (as we say in Spanish) "tirarte a la piscina", which literally means "throwing yourself into the pool". By this I mean I expect you to say anything and everything you can say in Spanish, even if you need to invent 50% or more of what you say.
