Hi, I'm Deepthi!

I'm currently pursuing my Master's degree and have an engineering degree in Industrial Engineering. Ever since I was a child, maths has been my favourite subject, and that passion has only grown stronger over the years.

My mother always told me that maths isn't about following one fixed process to reach a solution, it's about truly understanding the concept and using that knowledge creatively to find the right answer. That belief has shaped the way I learn, and now, the way I teach.

Does maths feel like a puzzle you just can't crack? It doesn't have to.

I believe no student truly hates a subject, they only fear it until someone simplifies it for them. My goal is to be that person for you. From my schooling days through engineering, I've always enjoyed helping friends work through problems, and I'm excited to bring that same energy to students here in Vanves.

I welcome students from primary school through to middle school (ages 6–15), whether you're just building your first number skills or tackling more complex problem-solving.

I don't just want to teach you formulas, I want you to understand the why behind every concept. I believe learning maths is about overcoming the fear of mistakes, breaking down any problem with curiosity, and finding joy in the process.

By the end of our time together, my goal is simple — I want you to say "Oh, I get it now!" and actually mean it.

I am a postdoctoral researcher in astrophysics of 26 years working at the Paris Observatory with some teaching experience (3 years of physics courses given to first year medical students at Paris Diderot University during my thesis , training for PhD students and researchers, as well as many private lessons).

I offer my services in the form of tutoring in physics and mathematics for high school and high school students, or even for post-baccalaureate students (possibility of group courses of 2 or 3).
I would also be delighted to pass on my passion for astronomy / astrophysics to those interested!

Progresser en mathématiques, c'est avant tout comprendre les objets que l'on manipule. Mes cours particuliers s'appuient donc avant tout sur un un travail de compréhension du cours en s'aidant d'exercices adaptés. Retravailler les contrôles ou interrogations effectuées, en cherchant les points encore non assimilés du cours, est ainsi un bon moyen de réaliser ce travail.

Recently graduated with a PhD in computer science from Télécom Paris, I obtained my engineering degree from the same school in August 2020. I received a scientific education through preparatory classes for grandes écoles and then in engineering school, and continued to study science during my doctorate specializing in computer science. I have been giving private science lessons since my first year of school, almost 7 years ago, at all levels. My goal is to help my students improve at their own pace, and to make them love scientific subjects while giving them back their self-confidence.
