I am a qualified ESL teacher with over 20 years experience and I am a native speaker from the UK. I specialize in tutoring English as a second language to students who are aiming to take the IELTS exam or whose goal is to improve their English language skills.
My goal is to motivate students and challenge them to do their best every step of the way.
I assign a placement test and needs analysis before beginning the course in order to distinguish the level and personal requirements of each student. I prepare individualised lessons to suit each student and I set homework as well as provide periodic progress reports.

My name is Emma and I was born and brought up in London, UK. However , I now live in sunny Greece with my husband and three children. I’m a qualified teacher and about to begin my 23rd year teaching English as a second language. Teaching is my passion and I’m so excited to be given the opportunity to work with you.
I strive to make my lessons dynamic and lively. Every student is unique so my goal is to encourage even the shyest students to participate.
I love teaching and it is important to me to instill a lifelong passion for the English language. I believe learning should be an exciting and enjoyable experience but at the same time challenging and productive. I have high expectations of myself as a teacher, as well as of my students and I have always found this to be a formula for success.

Conversational Spanish is a very important part of the learning as it is the natural way to learn it. My classes are designed to help students to learn in a natural way by choosing a topic and dealing with that topic from all angles: grammar, speaking, listening and translating. That helps students to gradually absorb what they are studying. I usually conduct a relaxing lesson where students feel they can improve and learn at their own pace.
Even if you are an absolute beginner you will be able to speak some Spanish by the end of the first lesson.

A brief note: Since lessons are online, it is best to use a lapto/computer rather than a phone to enjoy the full experience.
