These flute lessons are for everyone who loves this amazing instrument! It doesn't matter your level or your motivations!

Here you will learn about all the technical aspects of the flute such as breathing-blowing, tonguing, articulation, flexibility, fingering... But I think it is also important that you can have other skills which, in my opinion, are completely necessary for a good musician. For example, we will work on your sight reading, we will analyze the pieces played so that you understand the harmony and the structure... we will work on musicality and style so that you can develop your own musical spirit. We will also work on study techniques so that you can learn the abilities that will make you completely independent. All the music styles are very welcome in this class so don’t hesitate to ask me and I will prepare an arrangement of the songs you love!

My method synthesizes the strongest aspects of the French and American schools, and is oriented by an empowering pedagogical format teaching the student auto-listening skills so they can continue to build knowledge and ease on the instrument outside of the studio. The studio also holds two group masterclasses per year. I teach beginners, intermediate students, and do intensive coachings with advanced students who are looking to prepare a program or audition. My name is Uma and I am originally from Spain. I have been living in The Hague for the past five years. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Flute in Madrid and a Master’s degree in Zürich, I recently finished a Bachelor’s degree in Early Music and historical flutes at the Koninklijk Conservatorium The Hague. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Music Education, which allows me to continuously refine my teaching approach.

It is from these notions that the quality of sound, digital and respiratory technique, intonation, expression, and many others arise. I also give importance to well-being, self-confidence, or other abilities that the student would like to acquire.

SOLFÈGE: My courses cover several aspects necessary for the successful learning of music theory: strategies for recognizing intervals, chords and rhythms and their executions, singing, musical indications, exercises, attentive listening, musicality. These aspects are essential to instrumental practice, because they first allow you to correctly read a score, then analyze and interpret it.

Hello! My name is Samantha, and I want to teach you the Flute! I just graduated with a Music Performance Degree in Violin and Flute from Southern Utah University. I have been playing the Flute for over 12 years, and have been teaching for a long time as well. I’m passionate about offering virtual lessons, because for a while, that’s all that was available to me! Since the age of 8, I have been exploring the world of music, particularly the flute. I took flute lessons at the Niedermeyer Conservatory in Issy Les Moulineaux for 10 years and was a flautist in the junior symphony orchestra for 5 years.

Fascinated by the flute, I participated in music competitions, such as "Prodiges" in Paris, obtaining a distinction (18/20) in 2018. I also participated in a music Masterclass at UDELM (Lions Summer University of Music) in Embrun (Hautes-Alpes - 05 France) in 2016.

• Beginners: You will learn to control your breathing. I will guide you step by step to produce a sound on the flute and gradually begin playing pieces.
• Intermediate: You will work on pieces adapted to your level. The goal is to refine your technique and reach a more advanced level.
• Advanced: You will develop precision and technique in each piece of music. Explore tempo variations and deepen musical interpretation through nuances.
