During this three-week class, students will learn basic Excel functions while working on interesting activities and having fun.
This is a short-term class comprising 6 lessons. The teacher presents lessons in a user-friendly manner, introducing new terms as the class progresses.
Week 1 (2 classes): Students will learn the concept of columns, rows, cells, ranges, as well as simple formatting tools, such as Paint Brush, Fill Color, resizing columns and rows. The home assignment will require students to create a table and color cells within it.
Week 2 (2 classes): Students will learn how to create a more complex table and enter data into it. We will find out how to format titles and information within the table and revise the table to make it more meaningful. We will work with numbers, learn how to format them, and how to apply simple formulas, such as “SUM” and “AVERAGE” functions.
Week 3 (2 classes): Students will learn more useful functions, tools, filters as we work on a budget for a small project. We will also review how to format a document for print. The home assignment will require students to organize data into a table, format it and analyze the data by applying simple formulas and filters.
By the end of the course, students should be able to create a workbook and a table. They will also know how to format it, add filters and formulas, and understand how to analyze simple information.
The class can be modified for adults.

Informations supplémentaires
I is expected that students will be equipped with Microsoft Excel (the latest version is preferred). It would be best if the students started class with Excel launched and ready for use.
