Let's have a modern fun approach to singing/songwriting/piano! Hi, I'm Elena, and am a Pop Singer/Songwriter and have written for many other artists with songs that landed on the Billboard Dance Club Charts.

I'm a graduate of Berklee College of Music where I studied piano performance, songwriting, and music business. I love helping people find their creativity, teaching in a way that is FUN and applies to the student's goals, and also showing people how to practice efficiently!

My lessons can include:

Présentation

A modern fun approach to singing, songwriting, and piano. I'm Elena; a current pop Singer/Songwriter and recording artist. I've landed on multiple New Music Friday Playlists and Billboard Dance Club Charts, reached #2 on Canada Radio in 2021 with my single "Build a Ship", and received radio play worldwide. Besides my own artistry, my passion for coaching others to find their authentic voice has me working between New York, London, and LA. I'm currently based in London and do in-person lessons here, but travel every few weeks and offer remote classes during those times.

We will get along if you're looking for a teacher to hold customized space for you to find your own voice and create authentic music. I work with songwriting students (all ages) and teach music THROUGH the student's writing and passion. Students learn and internalize information rapidly when it's taught via songs and genres they're excited about, so I craft the curriculum to each student's interests.

Specialties:
Singers who don't feel like good singers. I grew up thinking I had a terrible voice, always felt strained when I sang, and no vocal coaching changed anything. I finally discovered Somatic Voicework which focuses on vocal science and physical awareness, and it brought out my powerful voice, a nice tone, and the ability to sing in ways I've never done before. I've coached many students in this same method and continue to witness incredible results.

Songwriting. For those starting as a brand new writer, those who have songs but need help learning about structure/lyrics/melodies, those who write regularly and want to improve overall, or those ready to release their music on Spotify and iTunes.

Piano. All levels. Learn basic chords for your songs, master your favourite classic or pop piece of music, or train rigorously with a classical method.

Additionally: Music theory, ear-training, basic production, artist branding & marketing, preparing songs for release on Spotify and iTunes.

Due to limited time I have to be selective and want to ensure I'm a good match to work with the student. Please message regarding your or your child's musical level, goals, and aspirations to decide if we are compatible. All levels welcome.

My name is Auriane, I live and work between Berlin and Athens. I'am also a professional musician and sing in many languages like Spanish, French, English... My practice is the result of 10 years of musical studies in France.
I also believe that singing is connected to the body and the way we use it, and become more aware of it. I acquired many tools in order to teach you how to sing your favourite songs in your own free way.
I'm convinced that there is not one way to sing "good" : we all have a voice and I am here to help you find it with exercices according to your own needs. My method is ... LEARN BY MAKING YOUR MUSIC!

The student will learn techniques, stylistic elements, tricks ... already by working on his first tracks: to keep motivation and satisfaction high, the result is always visible!
The lessons are face-to-face and personalised according to the level of experience and the musical style of the student. The presentation of the information is clear and accompanied by practical examples.

I'll show you how to:
- use Ableton Live,
- program and control synthesizers and virtual instruments,
- use microphone and sound card to record your voice and your instruments,
- process sound with effects (plugins) and optimize it for diffusion (mixing and mastering),
- make your songs, from start to the last details.

I have instructed students of different age groups in saxophone performance and music theory (including counterpoint, harmony and composition) up until university level, in Spain and the UK. After graduating from Cambridge with a double starred first, taking into consideration my academic results and teaching experience, I have also been selected for inclusion in the Supervisor Registry to teach counterpoint and harmony papers. My approach to lessons is very flexible, and I always try to adapt to the needs and qualities of each student. I believe that communication is essential, and at the beginning of each lesson I ask my students if they found my recommendations from the previous lesson helpful and how they see their progress. After this spoken introduction, we proceed to work on some warm-up and technical exercises. Then, we play some studies and pieces, or go over some music theory exercises, trying to apply the advice from the previous lesson and make further improvements. Finally, we conclude the lesson with a summary, listing the main key points and suggestions and comparing our experience to the previous lessons, trying to find a clear sense of progression and a coherent line of work towards a certain goal. This teleological mindset occupies a central position in my methodology, and I always encourage my students to look ahead and plan a series of stimulating events or challenges to look foward to, such as a concert, a recital, a presentation or an exam.

Two keywords form the base of the singing technique I teach: relaxation and engagement. Inspired by the Alexander technique, we need the body to be completely free from any muscle tension before and after producing a sound. Then, to create a sound of quality, the body also needs to be engaged and free. By releasing all the unnecessary tension, you will be able to sing all the arias of your dreams. I will give some weekly exercises in singing and music theory and we will correct them together during the lesson.
I was part of the choir of the French public radio broadcaster for 7 years. I have a diploma in Music theory from the CRR of Boulogne-Billancourt. I even have a degree in Pop music and I am currently finishing my Master's in musical theatre and composition.

My name is Andrea, I have recently concluded my Artist's Master in keyboard instruments at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. My passion for music induced me to apply in the “Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria” in the course of Harpsichord as my principal study. After 10 years studying music and obtaining the diploma of “Grado de Enseñanzas Profesionales” in the conservatory, I developed a deep interest for Classical and Early music for keyboard instruments.

Discovering a historical and musical universe, I decided to continue my performing and theoretical investigation studying the bachelor course in keyboard instruments including piano, harpsichord and organ. I had the amazing opportunity to obtain a scholarship and study at the "Conservatorio Tartini di Trieste", in Italy. Working with exceptional teachers, i was able expand my linguistic abilities and cultural appreciation for the expressive diversity of Keyboard music. I have discovered the magnificent variety between many composers all around Europe and the distinct features and techniques they utilized to improvise and to embellish their pieces. During this artistic journey, i have had extraordinary performance experiences as a soloist including playing at the Parlament of Brussels and the National Gallery in Bosnia. Recently, living in London has inspired me to take part in a wide variety of exciting projects such as performing as a keyboard accompanist in Opera Scenes and with the Guildhall Baroque Orchestra in the Milton Court Concert Hall.
