Hello! I am a professional opera singer, soprano, and current soloist at the Cologne Opera (Germany) bringing real-stage experience, performance psychology, and high-level technical discipline into every lesson. My background includes a Master of Music in Opera (Distinction) from the Dutch National Opera Academy in Amsterdam, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance (Distinction) from the Royal College of Music in London, and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Pedagogy from the Moscow University of the Humanities. The combination of elite performance training and 8 years of teaching experience allow me to train my students at the highest standard and achieve measurable progress and great results.

I am professional opera singer, a lyric-coloratura soprano, currently working as a soloist at the Cologne Opera in Germany. I have won multiple awards and scholarships and have extensive stage performance experience.
I am very passionate about teaching people with various vocal abilities, helping each of my students to discover and open up their voice, and teaching them the proper classical vocal technique. My name is Carmen and I am an opera singer. I studied at the PI Chaykovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the famous Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. I attended many masterclasses in Russia, Italy and Austria with Edda Moser, Renata Scotto, Nino Machaidze etc. I was also a soloist in the Vatican Choir.

Singing to me is the best feeling ever. Your entire body is moving and your head is totally empty of worries. You lose who you are and transform into a new person.
One time you are a prince or princess, the other a warrior fighting a duel. Maybe you stare at a beautiful river or fall in love like never before. All of this and even crazier situations are material for songs. Singing is so much more than just notes, it is about using your fantasy and telling a story. I love this feeling so much that I want to share how you can experience all of this while singing.

In general, singing is a combination of technique (pitches and rhythm), posture, and breathing. Next to that, we have diction, acting, body language, expression, and joy! You sing because you like it!

Singing is for all ages, all levels, and I adapt my lessons to your level.

Don't worry if you can't read sheet music, it is a bonus if you can.

About myself
I am Gulnara and I am a professional classical singer. As a soloist I sing leading roles on major international stages such as Mariinsky Theater, Scottish Opera, Opera de Colombia and in the Netherlands for example in De Doelen. I studied classical singing in St. Petersburg (Russia), at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and, among others, at the famous Georg Solti Accademia in Tuscany.

At the same time, I have been teaching singing to both children and adults at different levels and with different music styles for many years. For example, I also help with the preparation for an audition.

How does the singing lesson go?
The singing lesson consists of two parts. During the recording we do singing exercises and you learn the basic singing technique. This consists of breath support, learning to sing pure tones (voicing) and articulation. Then you sing different repertoire (songs, arias, songs, etc.) and we apply what you have just learned. I also pay attention to your presentation and the artistic aspects of singing (emotion and passion!). I accompany my students on the piano. I regularly organize music evenings where the students play for each other.

Lesson to children
I teach children from 4 years old. Singing pleasure and musical development are central. Bring your favorite song! All music styles are possible. We can also organize sings with other children. If you have ambition to study at the conservatory, I can prepare you for this.

Lessons for adults
Mature with good motivation and love for music, I like to support their further musical and singing development. We are working hard! Step by step, we push your boundaries and work towards your dream or passion.

For adults and children from 14 years, I teach in these Corona times in the large space with the necessary distance. I also teach via Skype. I prefer to teach during the day, for adults I can also teach in the evening.

I am an Italian soprano, graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy. I work as a soloist as a freelance singer, and I teach singing to students of different levels and ages for many years.
The most important thing during my lessons is to help the student find a healthy and comfortable way of singing!

I believe everyone can sing, and it is one of the most extraordinary and fun things to do!

Hello everyone!
My name is Marion and I come from France. I have been a musician for as long as I can remember. I started when I was a kid as a trumpet player. I played in many different kinds of orchestras and had a lot of fun with this instrument, but it was nothing compare to my love for singing! This is why I decided to become a professional opera singer and I want to share my passion about singing!

What do I offer?
Classical singing lessons for all levels with a focus on opera, songs, oratorio and choir repertoire.
I am based in Utrecht. You are welcome to come to my place, but I can also come to the students.
Lessons can be taught in English or in French, but I also speak a little bit of Dutch.

What will you learn?
The fundamental elements of classical singing such as breathing, posture and resonances for example but also styles, pronunciation, interpretation and repertoire. An important aspect I want to approach in a singing lesson is how to help you find your own voice, both in a technical and in an interpretative sense.
I can also guide you with anything solfège related like how to use and read a score or how to learn a song by heart.

What is my philosophy about singing and pedagogy?
I believe the best way to develop and improve a skill is when the students feel that they are in a safe place where they can dare to experiment but also have fun. This is an essential part of the process of music making and I try to bring fun and enjoyment to every lesson!

About me:
I started my musical studies in my home country in France, at the Conservatoire de Caen and the Conservatoire de Rennes before coming to The Netherlands where I finished my
voice bachelor’s degree at Het Conservatorium van Amsterdam in June 2018.
Two years later I graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy where
I performed the role of Tigrane in Händel’s Radamisto, The Countess of
Dunmow in Berkeley’s A Dinner Engagement, Arsace in Graun’s Cesare and Cleopatra and Fiordiligi in Mozart's Così fan tutte.
Nowadays, I am a freelance soprano working in the Netherlands and in Belgium as a soloist and as a choir singer. I often participate in productions with the choir of the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen in Antwerp or the Groot Omroepkoor in Hilversum.
I was one of the laureates of the edition 2020/2021 of the Dutch Classical
Talent Tour & Award, and I recently won the Handel Choir Jubilee Award.
