I am a professionally trained Classical violinist with a passion for teaching people of all ages how to play the violin in a way that creates a beautiful sound and as little physical tension as possible.

I am happy to teach any type of music that you are interested in learning, while working on the basics of violin playing (such as technique), so that you can play whatever genre you like better. I want to work on what will keep you engaged while still creating a strong technical foundation. However, if you are a beginner, then I generally begin with the Suzuki violin books.

I can help teach you how to practice effectively, how to improve quickly and what to prioritize for a more beautiful sound and more comfort playing the instrument. Above all, I make sure that you are enjoying the journey of learning such a beautiful and rewarding instrument.

I am a dedicated and passionate violinist and teacher, and I love helping people to learn the violin. I had an incredible example of a teacher, and I try to embody her dedication, focus, and mentorship with my own students. I envision lessons as being both times of focus and working together, but also fun and a place where you are welcome to be as you are.

During our first lesson, I want to talk about what excites you musically, and why you want to learn violin, and if you have already been playing the violin for a while, to hear you. If you are brand new to the instrument, it is to introduce some basic principles that we will work on. We will then plan the goals that you would like to achieve through our lessons together.

I am open and flexible, and I understand the busy-ness that we all struggle with. Thus, I am open to flexibility, and ask the same from you, as I am also a freelance performer and sometimes may have to move lessons due to performances.

Hallo, ich bin Alex, ein kolumbianischer Geiger mit einem Bachelor-Abschluss in klassischer Musik-Violine und einem Master-Abschluss in Instrumentalpädagogik an der Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe.
Ich werde Ihnen helfen, Ihre Geigenfähigkeiten zu verbessern!!

Mein Ziel ist es, dass Menschen jeden Alters und Niveaus nicht nur lernen, ein Instrument zu spielen, sondern auch Freude an der Musik haben und sie in ihrem täglichen Leben praktizieren. Ich lege großen Wert auf Literatur aller Stilepochen, vom Barock bis zur Moderne, einschließlich der Unterhaltungsmusik. In diesem Sinne gestalte ich den Unterricht nach den Wünschen der Schüler. Für mich ist es auch wichtig, dass der Unterricht Spaß macht :)
