I have different kind of lessons:

1. Face-to-face lessons of modern singing

Modern singing: technique, improvisation and repertoire
The face-to-face classes take place at a studio in Prenzlauer Berg and are mainly aimed at adults and teenagers who want to learn music. They have a duration of 50 minutes.

In singing classes, breathing and vocal technique are worked through warm-up exercises, always with the aim of working the voice in a healthy and correct way. My classes are mainly focused on the repertoire of the student’s preferred style, which can be pop, soul, jazz, blues, bossa nova, tango and bolero, among others. Each style is worked differently and with the appropriate resources to lead to a good interpretation.

Both for warm-up and repertoire I usually accompany the student on the piano. Depending on the style sometimes I may work with karaokes. I also teach a good use of the microphone, to fight stage panic and to enjoy a performance on stage. The singing lessons are aimed at people of any level, from beginners to advanced, even to someone who is preparing an exam for an upper grade of modern music.

My main objective is above all that the student feels motivated, and not under pressure. For me it is very important that the student enjoys music and the music lessons.

2. Initiation to piano: modern harmony and auditory education

The piano lessons are aimed primarily at beginners. My intention is mainly to prepare my piano students so that they can later develop a more advanced style with a teacher whose main instrument is the piano. For this, I start with basic exercises for a good hand technique and with simple songs so that the student learns to read music. For those who already have a basic level, I start directly with scales and chords, mostly focusing on teaching songs in modern harmony. The main objective is the motivation of the student, avoiding pressure. For me it is very important that the student enjoys music and the music lessons.

3. Modern singing on-line lessons

Modern singing on-line classes: technique, improvisation and repertoire
Like face-to-face classes, online lessons last 50 minutes. They are also aimed at adults and teenagers who want to learn music and find virtual classes more comfortable, for whatever reason.

The lessons are given through a virtual meeting app, either Jitsi or Zoom. They are similar to those in the classroom, with the difference that a little more time is devoted to the repertoire than to the technique.

I consider of great importance that the student enjoys the lessons also in this case and does not lose motivation.

Piano is an incredible instrument to learn - it provides you with a broad understanding of music, develops listening skills, and great dexterity, increases concentration, and much more.
I specialize in jazz piano but teach all musical styles according to the student's needs and wishes. Throughout the lesson we will learn music and songs, technique, harmony, ear training, theory, and rhythm - all subjects of music can be addressed through the piano!

ENGLISH-SPEAKING PIANO TUTOR

I teach adults of all levels!

I often mentor people who are just starting out, helping them develop their interest in the instrument and play the music they love.

A lot of students come in with anxiety about how good or fast they're going to be able to learn. I work to build a respectful, supportive environment where you feel comfortable developing and learning at your own pace.

For intermediate and advanced students, I teach with a particular focus on fundamental technique through études, and developing musicality.

Oftentimes, as hobbyists, we have holes from our early studies that prevent us from developing later in life. My aim is to help correct that. You should leave with renewed confidence to tackle pieces that have intimidated or eluded you in the past.

It is important that our lesson is making you more independant and secure to play and understand music on your own! My name is Sara and I'm a classical pianist and piano teacher. I have been a pianist for about 15 years and started teaching it a while ago as well. I offer lessons in 3 different languages ( English, Arabic and German) for both beginner and intermediate levels.

I believe music should be enjoyed and comfortably played, allowing people to both connect with it and understand while challenging them to express themselves in new and different ways. Music lessons are fun and will be set to make the student confident and comfortable in their playing. If any student needs extra time or space to feel secure and safe, I will offer as much understanding and security as I can.

I continue to work as an artist, and music and art remain my greatest passions. But the moments I share with my students have become just as meaningful. I've been able to build connections with people in ways I never expected, and I see this work as a way to contribute to a better world.
Most of my students are adults. Some played as children and are starting again, others are complete beginners; some are advanced and want to delve deeper. In lessons, we work not only on technique but also on musical understanding: reading what's "in" the score, developing interpretation, and experiencing music as a living language—not just as dots on a piece of paper. I also enjoy teaching children and accompanying their growth over a longer period. Seeing how music supports their development always moves me deeply.

A little bit about me: I come from Croatia, where I graduated in piano performance and pedagogy. After that I did another Master in piano performance at Hochschule fur Musik FHNW Basel, and then Specialised master for soloists at the same institution.
I live in Berlin and will be happy to guide you on your musical path.

My name is Sara and I'm a classical pianist and piano teacher. I have been a pianist for about 15 years and started teaching it a while ago as well. I offer lessons in 3 different languages ( English, Arabic and German) for both beginner and intermediate levels.

I believe music should be enjoyed and comfortably played, allowing people to both connect with it and understand while challenging them to express themselves in new and different ways. Music lessons are fun and will be set to make the student confident and comfortable in their playing. If any student needs extra time or space to feel secure and safe, I will offer as much understanding and security as I can.
Trust is my number one motto, if for any reason a student feels pressured or uncomfortable they can come and talk to me directly and we shall figure out a way to make music learning fun and enjoyable for them.

I'd like to think of myself as someone who truly enjoys making a good change in the world and who tries to offer the best possible experience when getting to know the instrument and how to play it and I hope you find the trust in me to sign up for my class!

I continue to work as an artist, and music and art remain my greatest passions. But the moments I share with my students have become just as meaningful. I've been able to build connections with people in ways I never expected, and I see this work as a way to contribute to a better world.
Most of my students are adults. Some played as children and are starting again, others are complete beginners; some are advanced and want to delve deeper. In lessons, we work not only on technique but also on musical understanding: reading what's "in" the score, developing interpretation, and experiencing music as a living language—not just as dots on a piece of paper. I also enjoy teaching children and accompanying their growth over a longer period. Seeing how music supports their development always moves me deeply.

Berlin-based pianist, composer, and experienced teacher Valentini brings over 10 years of piano instruction to students of all ages and levels. Known for her deeply emotional and lyrical musical voice, shaped by her Greek-Cypriot heritage and classical training, she creates lessons that are both fun and inspiring, helping students develop technical skills, musicality, and confidence.

Valentini is also trained in performance psychology, supporting students not only in mastering the piano but in developing a strong mindset, emotional resilience, and overall wellbeing—tools essential for performing with ease and joy.

A graduate of Charles University in Prague, Valentini has performed as a soloist and ensemble musician and released three albums: Reflections (2022), Belonging (2023), and Metamorphosis (2025), blending soulful piano with evocative textures. Her teaching combines professional expertise with a playful, supportive approach, making each lesson engaging, meaningful, and tailored to the student’s goals.
