I consider myself a dedicated person when it comes to teaching music to those who want and are passionate about it. And the answer is always in the tastes, desires and expectations of the one who is learning.
I believe that technique, improvisation, notions of musical composition, theory and analysis must be learned through the music that you want to play and the music that you already know how to play. I teach singing, piano, music awareness/introduction and solfège.

I live in Madrid and I'm a student pursuing a higher degree in singing (jazz and contemporary music). I dedicate a good part of my time to teaching (music and language) through private online or in-person lessons.

I started giving private lessons to children at their homes when I lived in Germany. During the 2022-2023 academic year, I taught piano to students of all ages at the RedMusik Music School (Igualada, Catalonia).

I studied piano and other instruments for over 15 years at the UGDA and the Luxembourg City Conservatory. After many years of solfège and piano, I obtained the Conservatory's "Première Mention" certificate with the highest possible grade, "Très Bien".

A good music lesson should include not only technique and reading sheet music, but also theoretical and harmonic study, improvisation, recreational playing with the instrument, and ear training and rhythm exercises. I am interested in designing the lesson creatively and adapting it to the needs and desires of the student.

I am a professional musician with a Master's degree in Original Soundtrack Production, a Higher Degree in Classical Composition (Leeds Conservatoire) and a Professional Conservatory Diploma in Piano from the Royal School in London.

Violin is a classical instrument but you can play everything on the violin :) if you want to learn to play the violin or improve your level, let me know! First, we will learn to hold the violin and bow, then we will learn to play notes one by one, and then we will learn to combine individual notes into a melody. Learning to sing doesn't always have to be a frustrated dream, we can all do it well, either as a hobby or because we want to be professionals. My name is Catalina and I am a singer, I teach other people because connecting through music is my passion.

I always work the classes under two principles:

1. Keep the class light and fun.
2. That everything in class is understandable and clear (if I have to repeat 80 times, no problem).

Methodology of the classes:

Classes can be taught at my home, the student's home, or virtually.
In the first class, a repertoire of approximately 2 or 3 songs is defined, which correspond to the student's taste as well as the vocal challenges they face, and an evaluation of strengths and challenges in learning is made.

In general all classes are divided into 3 parts:

1. Body warm-up (stretching, breathing exercises and activation of important muscles for singing).
2. Vocal warm-up through exercises to strengthen agility, tuning, phrasing and support.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm Cuban and I began my studies in opera singing in Cuba 20 years ago. I graduated in Chile with a degree in Musical Arts from the Andrés Bello University and I'm also a Senior Performer specializing in Opera Singing from the Modern School of Music.

I have had the honor of working with personalities of Chilean classical music such as Cristina Gallardo-Domas (my mentor and coach) and Verónica Villarroel, for whom I work, since I am a singing teacher at her academy.
