During my training, I had the opportunity to study with famous teachers with whom I was able to discover different violin techniques and different pedagogical approaches, which allowed me to create my own methodology. If Italy gave me the passion of sharing and communication (a typical Italian characteristic), Belgium taught me to convey a message, an idea in a concrete way. My meeting with Mr Lawson also made me aware of the importance in the life of an artist to share his knowledge, and teaching is for me the best way to put this sharing into practice.

Pendant ma formation, j'ai eu l'occasion d'étudier avec d'illustres professeurs avec lesquels j’ai pu découvrir différentes techniques de violon et différentes approches pédagogiques, ce qui m’a permis de créer ma propre méthodologie. Si l'Italie m'a donné la passion du partage et de la communication (une caractéristique typiquement italienne), la Belgique m'a appris à transmettre un message, une idée de manière concrète. Ma rencontre avec Mr Ilya Grubert, Mr Shirly Laub et Mr Lawson m'a d’ailleurs fait prendre conscience de l'importance dans la vie d'un artiste de partager ses connaissances, et l’enseignement est pour moi la plus belle façon de mettre ce partage en pratique.
J'utilise une méthode selon l'élève: ce qui est toujours central, c'est le son et la transmission d’une émotion, même avec une simple pièce ou une étude. La technique et la posture sont également importantes dans mon enseignement, et je tends à trouver, pour chaque élève et étape par étape, une façon de jouer qui soit la plus saine possible.
Poursuivant également des activités de musicien professionnel, j’ai néanmoins à cœur que l’apprentissage et la pédagogie fassent partie de ma vie quotidienne, et j’envisage avec à la fois beaucoup de sérieux et énormément de plaisir le travail avec les élèves et la transmission des savoirs musicaux.

Opleiding

Gabriele né à Padoue en 1995, est diplômé avec la plus haute mention au Conservatoire "A. Steffani" de Castelfranco Veneto où il obtient également le prix "Zambon" en 2017 comme meilleur élève.
Installé en Belgique depuis le 2017, entre 2019 et 2021 il a obtenu le “Master en violon” et le “Master spécialisé en violon” avec Grand Distinction, en étudiant au Conservatoire Royal de Mons Arts2 et au Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles dans la classe de Shirly Laub, Eliot Lawson, Wibert Aerts et Frederic d’Ursel.
Pendant sa formation, Gabriele a également étudié avec Ilya Grubert et Stefano Pagliani à la la Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia en Italie, Elina Vahala à la Hochschule Fur Musik Karlsruhe et a suivi des masterclasses avec Elisabeth Perry, Ivry Gitlis, Igor Volochine, Vineta Sareika, Kati Sebestyén, Chouchane Sironossian et Nana Kawamura et de la musique de chambre avec Muhiddin Dürrüoğlu, Enrico Bronzi et Filippo Faes.

Il a collaboré avec plusieurs orchestres: en Belgique la Philharmonic Orchestra Flanders, et Boho Strings Orchestra in Anvers, l’ Ataneres Ensemble à Louvain, la Chapelle Musicale de Tournai à Tournai, l’Assai Symphonia à Hasselt; en Italie l’ Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto OPV à Padoue, l’ Orchestra d’archi Italiani ODAI et l’ Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico OTO à Vicenza.
Depuis mars 2022, il fait partie comme violon adjoint de “Belgian National Orchestra BNO” dans le premiere violon tutti.

En 2018, Gabriele remporte l'audition pour le Jeugd Antwerp Simphony Orchestra (ASOJ) et pour le Nationaal Jeugd Orkest (NJO); en 2019 il remporte l’audition pour European Union Youth Orchestra (Euyo) et Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza (OTO) et ainsi que le Antwerp Philarmonic Orchestra.

Depuis 2018, il est tres engagé dans le répertoire de musique de chambre, en jouant avec les pianistes Julien Lejeune et Marco Mantovani. Axé sur le répertoire franco-belge et au répertoire italien du début du XXe siècle (Busoni, Fano, Dallapiccola, Respighi) il s’est produit à l’ Arsonic à Mons, Atelier Marcel Hastir et Art Base à Bruxelles ou encore à l'Academia Belgica de la Villa Borghese à Rome, et a été finaliste au concours organisé par la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles "Generation Classique 2021".
En octobre 2021, il a également remporté le prix “Giovanni Guglielmo" à Padoue en duo avec le pianiste Marco Mantovani.

Passionné a l’enseignement et a la didactique il se spécialise au Conservatoire Royal de Mons Arts2 et en 2021 il a obtenu le diplome d’Agregation avec Distinction. Depuis octobre 2021, il enseigne le violon dans le cadre du projet El Sistema organisé par l’Asbl ReMuA à Bruxelles.
Gabriele a aussi étudié à l'Université de Padoue à la faculté d'Histoire et de Musicologie.

After studying at the A. Steffani Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto in Italy where he obtained the highest distinction, Gabriele then completed his Master's degree in violin with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Mons with M° Eliot Lawson and Wibert Aerts. During his training, Gabriele also studied with Ilya Grubert at the Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia in Italy, Elina Vahala at the Hochschule Fur Musik Karlsruhe and took masterclasses with Ivry Gitlis, Stefano Pagliani, Elisabeth Perry, Igor Volochine, Vineta Sareika, Kati Sebestyén and Chouchane Sironossian. He is currently studying at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with M° Shirly Laub and M° Frédéric d'Ursel in a specialized master's degree and Agrégation at the Royal Conservatory of Mons.

In 2018, Gabriele won the audition for the Jeugd Antwerp Simphony Orchestra (ASO) and for the Nationaal Jeugd Orkest (NJO); in 2019 he won the audition for European Union Youth Orchestra (Euyo) and Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza (OTO) and is also selected in 2020 for the Young Belgian Strings as well as the Antwerp Philarmonic Orchestra. He has collaborated with several orchestras in Italy and Belgium, including the Boho Strings Orchestra in Antwerp, the Ataneres Ensemble in Louvain, the Chapelle Musicale de Tournai in Tournai, the Assai Symphonia in Hasselt, the Orchestra of Archi Italiani and the Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Italy.

Very involved in the chamber music repertoire, Gabriele founded in 2018 with the pianist Julien Lejeune the Duo Aréthuse, in which they explore the romantic French and contemporary Italian repertoire, in search of an interpretation marked by accuracy, simplicity and of modernity. They are at the initiative of the creation in 2019 of the Hellens Ensemble, consisting of a string quartet, a piano and a lyrical singer, an ensemble with which they are interested in Belgian music and more particularly to the repertoire with voice.

Gabriele also studied at the University of Padua at the Faculty of History and Musicology.

Violinist from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, and the IMEP of Namur, I give violin lessons at all levels, all ages, from 5 years old for children.

With several years of experience in teaching the violin, my lessons are for everyone, whatever your desires. I adapt my method according to the wish as well as the age of the student, and starting an instrument as an adult should not be a brake.
Graduated in Musicology from La Sorbonne as well as from the ULB, I also offer support courses in Musical Training, History of Music and Analysis.

My name is María, I am a Venezuelan Cellist.
All my musical education was inside the musical program "El Sistema" in Venezuela. This education was based on preparing myself as a better human being though playing cello in orchestras, chamber music and as soloist.
I am current studying my Master degree at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
In what consist my lessons?
Cello classes for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced), it does not matter if you have never played cello before or if you are already studying, the important thing is to help you achieve the goals you want with this beautiful instrument.
To have better results with practice, if it is necessary to help you with music theory, I will help you.
As well, if you're looking for help in orchestral excerpts for auditions, I'm here for you!
For kids, parental support is also important during some lesson, we are all a team and we need to work together to achieve the goals!
Classes can be in person at your house or mine (BRUSSELS, BELGIUM) or via videocall (Skype, Zoom, etc). The schedules are planned according to the time of the student and the teacher.

Lessons in piano, harpsichord, and historical and modern cello, with program and repertoire, adapted to the goals and speed of each student, whether young, not so young, or adult, for a general introduction to these instruments, for preparation for high music education, as a supplementary aid for exams in music academies, or for a hobby, or for amateur group music-making, or for developing qualities as concentration, coordination, discipline, expressibility, awareness of styles and music history.
In my teaching, I rely mostly on old traditional methods, books, and repertoire, which have proved their efficiency over the time. I also make use of the teaching tradition of partimenti of the old Neapolitan conservatories - exercises for composing that can be applied from early stage. This not only adds a creative element soon after very beginning, but also teaches via practice the basics of harmony and polyphony.
Lessons can be combined (+30min.) with theory/solfege (ear training), if the student wishes.

I have been teaching for more than 15 years, privately, in Brussels, and in New York in the past, more than 100 students.

A music theory course for anyone who wants to start with a solid foundation in music, or for an already advanced musician who wants to go further. This course is also perfect for an academy or conservatory student who wishes to prepare for the music theory exam.

Despite the fact that this is a so-called theoretical course, everything that is seen will first be worked on in a musical context and experienced by the student in order to be assimilated. The theoretical explanations will follow from it by itself.

On the program (student's choice)

- Ear training (knowing how to rewrite melodies with one or more voices, chords, etc.)

- Note readings in one or more keys

- Rhythm readings, polyrhythmic work

- Encryption and recognition of agreements,

- Transposition.

This musical theory lesson suits to every level, from the one who wants to learn how to read music to the one who wants to know more about chords, transposition or polyrythms. This lesson is also perfect for a student who wants to prepare an examination.

In despite the fact I called these lesson "Musical theory", it is firstly about understanding the music. And that can only be possible by ... doing music. So be aware that we will be singing, playing chords, clapping rhythms, ... My purpose is that the student understand by himself first, then the theory will come naturally.

What we can do during a lesson (student can choose):

- Ear training (Learn to catch a melody of one or several voices and write it down by ear, recognizing chords, recognizing rhythms, ...)

- Rythmical work: learn to clap different rhythms in different time signatures. Also included polyrythms.

- Key reading, in one or several keys.

- Transposition (learn how to read a flute sheet while you're playing trumpet, ..)

Posture and comfort with the instrument are the foundation for playing the guitar. I often make the connection with other musical instruments such as percussion, wind instruments and singing.

Separating and understanding the roles of the two hands is another important step in the course. One hand plays the rhythm and the other plays the notes on the fretboard. There are many exercises to develop the knowledge and skills of both hands.
