I am a qualified teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Alcala de Henares and have a degree in Translation (English and German). I have been teaching Spanish to students with different levels and nationalities for many years. I offer low-cost and high quality lessons adapted to the real needs of each individual student and CONVERSATION is guaranteed. We practice SPEAKING everything you learn.
Courses: I offer general Spanish courses, for specific purposes (business, tourism, etc.), also preparation courses for the DELE examination and EPSO exam (language test for EU Commission employees). My lessons can be one to one, two to one or in a group (maximum 4 students), in person or via Skype.
All of my Spanish courses are adapted to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEF or CEFR): beginner (A1, A2), intermediate-advanced (B1, B2) and proficiency (C1, C2).
The first lesson is always focused on getting to know each other, assessing your level and knowing your preferences and needs.

Présentation

My name is Anabel and I am 38 years old. My degree is in English and German Translation and in 2009 I completed a M.A. Program in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at the University of Alcala de Henares (Spain). Since then I have taught Spanish to students that want to learn in a fun, enjoyable and also reasonably priced way. I have worked as a Spanish teacher in different cities in Spain and abroad, in several language schools, in companies (Allen & Overy, Language Solutions in Madrid) and currently I am self-employed, giving private or group lessons, in person or via Skype.

I am a very sociable and an outgoing person who loves meeting people from other countries. I travelled a lot around the world, having the opportunity to relate to very different people and to experience many different things. In addition, I have also been a language student for many years. I can speak English, German, some French and now I am learning Dutch. All this experience helps me to know what a language student really needs. Besides my specific training in Spanish as a Foreign Language, I have developed my own personal style of teaching to help each student.

Place and material: I usually give lessons at the student’s house or his/her work place However, if preferred, we can make arrangements to have lessons somewhere else. During my lessons, you will find an atmosphere with trust and comfort that will make your learning easy and stress free.

Internet access, audiovisual aids, different Spanish manuals and material prepared by myself are at your disposal. I like working with my own material: my own exercises, videos, news, press articles, movies, role-plays, games, etc. and of course I guarantee you the regular practice of CONVERSATION. My aim is that you learn to communicate effectively in Spanish.

This class is an excellent learning space to ameliorate your proficiency in Spanish or to begin learning the basics of this useful language. During the class, the focus will be on speaking, however, by times there will be opportunities to work on writing, listening and reading skills. Hola amigos! My name is Kevin and I am a Business Administration professional with first-hand experience in tutoring foreign students from different nationalities. My linguistic spectrum consists of English, French and Spanish, which I master both orally and written. As a native Spanish speaker, I possess significant experience in the construction of argumentative texts and academic essays in Spanish.

On the personal side, one of my greatest passions are philosophy and literature. As such, I am constantly reading and translating texts in order to increase and develop my language skills. Consequently, my work methodology is mostly focused on motivating the student to speak freely and to learn by acknowledging his/her mistakes. From the beginning, I will try to address the lessons 100% in Spanish, with the aim of familiarizing the ear to the pronunciation. In terms of written exercises, it is important to know what are the student’s learning priorities. When starting with the written part, it is important to know the student is dedicated to practicing and that he will also benefit from this in his future experiences. This is why the exercises will address current social problems that allow him to be fluent when he meets other Spanish speakers.

In order for the student to learn as easily and efficiently as possible, homework exercises will be given after each lesson, drafted according to the parts that the students wishes to master best (speaking, reading, listening, writing). This way, the student will benefit from a fluid learning process and, with dedication, will be able to excel in Spanish in a short period of time.

I am Laura , a Spanish woman living in The Hague. I have been teaching and helping high school students with their homework and study methods since 2014 as a private tutor. I have experience as a language teacher in different schools in Madrid (extracurricular activities) for children between 3 and 10 years old. I work as a Spanish teacher since 2019 in various countries, helping numerous students to improve their speaking, listening and writing skills.

I studied Nutrition and Dietetics (4 years bachelor) at Complutense University of Madrid. Later and determined by my love for languages, I completed the BA in Linguistics in Leiden University, following the Brain and Cognition specialization, which focuses in how language and second languages learning works in a neural level.

Depending on the goal, the learning or lesson method is different. Normally, the first day I meet the student and we talk about what he or she expects and the topics we need to pay more attention. Spanish class :
Even though Spanish is my second language, I love it and I want to share my love for it with others! I will use songs, books, and movies for Latin America or Spain, and make sure you practice a lot while reviewing grammar and conjugation!

French class :
I am from France so I am a native. Depending on your way of learning, I can adapt, whether focusing more on grammar and conjugation or on practice. Obviously, both are necessary, and I will make sure to use movies and songs for homework!

In this lesson I aim to help students with their conversational skills. If you’re looking to improve your Spanish, you have an exam or are travelling abroad, this could be a good option.
My system consists in:
1. objective definition
2. Execution through in class practice
3. Feedback
4. Study/review by the student
And repeat.

By knowing your goals; weak points for improvement, the class can be oriented in that direction.
