I'm Sara and I'm an Italian teacher with more than 8 years of experience teaching this wonderful language!

I began teaching when I was studying my Bachelor's degree (che bei tempi!) ... I started almost as a joke but I realized soon that I actually liked this profession and, after so many years, I still feel the same!

Throughout the years I had the opportunity to work with a variety of students and each of them taught me a lot: every teaching experience is unique and this is why I love it.

That being said, maybe you would like to know something more about how I work.

I will build a tailor-made learning path, which is shared and discussed with the student, but also select the material and the topics that best suit each person.

If I had to choose my strongest point, I would definitely say that it is the kind of relationship I establish with my students: open and informal to make learning easier and to fully enjoy the experience.

Llevo muchos años en la enseñanza del italiano como lengua extranjera y en pasado también he estado dando alguna clase de español, con lo cual quiero asegurarte de que a pesar de tu nivel de italiano, no tendremos problemas de comunicación y podremos utilizar el castellano como lengua auxiliar :)

A lo largo de mi trayectoria profesional he tenido experiencias en diferentes tipo de clase, tanto en Italia como en España. Gracias a ellas he aprendido lo importante que es utilizar métodos de enseñanza variados ya que cada persona aprende a su manera. Lo que funciona para ti, puede que no funcione con otra persona y por eso he decidido no adoptar una metodología predefinida y adaptar mi forma de enseñar a las necesidades, objetivos e intereses de la(s) persona(s) que participan en mis clases. Me gusta improvisar y tener una clase lo más posible entretenida, mezclando elementos propiamente lingüísticos a temas culturales.

Este más o menos es un resumen de quien soy y de como veo la enseñanza. No puedo decirte que soy la profe perfecta en todo el mundo mundial (ojalá!), pero quizás pueda ser la persona adecuada para acompañarte en tu camino de aprendizaje.

He estado (y sigo) trabajando con diferentes tipos de personas y grupos tanto dentro como fuera de Italia y esto me ha dado la oportunidad de variar mi manera de enseñar y a la vez también aprender mucho de las personas a las que estuve dando clase. Para mi la enseñanza es un proceso bidireccional donde tanto quien da la clase como quien la recibe puede aportar y aprender algo.

If you've decided to keep reading, it's probably because you're thinking about learning a new language, so the first thing I want to say is: CONGRATULATIONS! :) Learning something new is always a good idea!

With that said, let me introduce myself.

I have a degree in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation and a degree in International Relations.
I have been teaching Italian as a foreign language for many years and in the past I have also been giving some Spanish classes, so I want to assure you that despite your level of Italian, we will not have communication problems and we will be able to use Spanish as an auxiliary language :)

Throughout my professional career I have had experiences in different types of classes, both in Italy and Spain. Thanks to them I have learned how important it is to use varied teaching methods since each person learns in their own way. What works for you may not work for another person and that is why I have decided not to adopt a predefined methodology and to adapt my way of teaching to the needs, objectives and interests of the person(s) who participate in my classes. I like to improvise and have a class as entertaining as possible, mixing linguistic elements with cultural themes.

This is more or less a summary of who I am and how I see teaching. I can't tell you that I'm the perfect teacher in the whole world (I wish!), but perhaps I can be the right person to accompany you on your learning path.

I was born in Italy, but I have spent the last two years of my life traveling the world, mainly in Central and South America and the Middle East and Central Asia, traveling and working remotely.

I am a professional teacher with 7 years of experience. I worked on the translation of medical and legal articles, and panels in the glass museum in Venice and worked as an interpreter at the court of Venice.
I have a language degree, I am certified in international law, and I am a language coach. Language coach means that I not only teach you a language but also how to learn new languages!

Do you need to learn how to speak in Italian really quickly? Do you already speak at a basic level and you want to improve? This course is for you!
Every lesson, a new thematic: you will learn how to deal in the most common situation with immersive focus on everyday life & job situation. Relax and just speak!

-As a qualified and experienced teacher, I ensure you make real progress, helping you successfully achieve your goals and communicate with confidence in Italian. I prefer not to use vehicular languages but don't worry, I have plurilingual and pluricultural competences so, if you need, we can speak English, French, Arabic (MSA and Tunisian) or Spanish! Together, we'll work on interaction, dialogue, oral production and comprehension, focusing on fluency, lexis and vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. I'll give you access to a range of free resources and authentical materials like videos, audios, newspapers, and books, for sure.

- My method: I follow a communicative and non-frontal approach in which the student always has a leading role and is stimulated to experiment with the structures and the vocabulary learned. In general, during a lesson, I give equal space to the reinforcement of each competence (comprehension and oral production, comprehension and written production, grammatical insights), but at the request of the student, it is possible to focus on particular objectives. I offer students a wide range of Italian language books for foreigners and the choice of texts or materials to follow will be done together. Multimedia materials such as audio and video and interactive activities.
