Hi, my name is Gianie, I'm bilingual in Spanish and French. I have a Master's degree in Linguistics and more than 5 years' experience as a language teacher for primary, secondary and higher education students. I'm quite familiar with the linguistic and communicative competences of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the DELF and DALF language proficiency tests.

My goal is to simplify the language learning process for my students and to provide them with rich input and feedback for the most effective and enjoyable learning experience possible. I lean towards a communicative approach but I don't rely on a single approach because I don't believe that one approach can fit all learning profiles. Instead, I combine and adapt as needed.

Since the main purpose of language is communication, I will continually encourage you to use the language for practical purposes of real-life situations. Oral exposure to the language will be a fundamental part of the lessons, as, in my experience, this is the easiest way to integrate vocabulary and grammar. Moreover, I will not only help you to deal with different topics but also with different registers.

I create a learning experience (content and pace) adapted to your needs: speaking fluently, DELF/ DALF test preparation, conversations to help with travel or relocation or simply the pleasure of talking about subjects you are interested in. We can have our lessons in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying various aspects of learning a language. It's not just about memorizing complex conjugations!

I work with a variety of online resources, all of which is shared with you after the lesson. For structure and to evaluate progress, I also work with certain books depending on the level and the requirement. TECHNOLOGIES FOR LEARNING.

My name is Laurie and I am an independent FLE teacher, graduated in French and Romance languages and literature since 2012. I have five years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I have created a teaching method for online courses.

The course includes:
-The material (articles, videos, exercises from images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises...). I use Google Doc so it's best to have a Gmail address to access it.
-The correction of exercises outside of class (the written expressions are corrected outside of class, or with the student, according to his needs).
-Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone.
-A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar / conjugation, sent after each course.
-If necessary, a vocabulary recording (for beginners).
-The realization of online exercises and tests from the sent vocabulary sheets.
-Motivation, laughter, good mood :-)

My method:
- It's based on speaking.
-For grammar I use a question/answer method (learned during the training at the CERAN center).
-We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises for setting your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-)
-Everything goes through the spoken word before the written word, but I clearly adapt to the needs of the students.
-The course is a little different for children and adolescents: I use interactive games and cards via webcam.

I like to use different methods to teach French to students. It can be through songs, drama, role play or videos. I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. Because I have learned French myself (and I am still learning other languages), I can easily put myself in a student's shoes. I can teach in French, Dutch, English, German and Russian.

If your child is having difficulties in school, I would love to be able to help them overcome them.
I had the opportunity to work in several non-profit organizations (Schola ULB, Youth Club, CIFA, ABEF) where I helped young adolescents understand their subject in French. I also helped them prepare for their exams, including the CEB and CE1D.
We will work together on their lessons, we will review the vocabulary and grammar they need to know and we will work on their difficulties in order to overcome them.
