El árabe (لعربية) es una lengua semítica, como el arameo, el hebreo, el acadio, el maltés y otras lenguas similares. Es única lengua oficial en veinte países, y cooficial en al menos otros seis, así como también es una de las 6 lenguas oficiales de la Naciones Unidas.
Se llama "lengua árabe" tanto a la variedad estándar como a las numerosas variedades locales, usualmente llamadas dialectos, aunque a veces son tan diferentes que pueden llegar a ser incomprensibles entre sí. La denominación de esta lengua en el propio idioma árabe es al-`arabiyya (la [lengua] árabe), aunque en la mayoría de los dialectos se denomina `arabī (en género masculino).
El árabe utiliza un sistema de escritura propio que se escribe de derecha a izquierda, uniendo las letras entre sí, de modo que cada letra puede tener hasta cuatro formas, según se escriba aislada, al principio, en medio o al final de la palabra.

Conversation + is a new conversation based format that combines grammar, syntax, understanding vocabulary and expressions as well as the practice of correct pronunciation and intonation with the reading of a text of your choosing. On the basis of a selected text the conversation evolves around the topics at hand; parallel to this, we discuss anything language-related that comes up. Any question, any problem can be addressed. In this way, linguistic issues can be explored in greater depth, based on your specific field(s) of interest.
