La materia de Biología y Geología de la etapa de Enseñanza Secundaria Obligatoria constituye una continuación del área de Conocimiento del Medio Natural, Social y Cultural de la Educación Primaria. Esta materia busca el desarrollo de la curiosidad y la actitud crítica, así como el refuerzo de las bases de la alfabetización científica que permite al alumnado conocer su propio cuerpo y su entorno para adoptar hábitos que le ayuden a mantener y mejorar su salud y cultivar actitudes como el consumo responsable, el cuidado medioambiental, el respeto hacia otros seres vivos, o la valoración del compromiso ciudadano con el bien común.

El trabajo de las competencias específicas de esta materia y la adquisición de sus saberes básicos contribuyen al desarrollo de todas las competencias clave y a satisfacer, como se explica a continuación, varios de los objetivos de la etapa y con ello al crecimiento emocional del alumnado y a su futura integración social y profesional.

Soy una persona que ama la naturaleza y todo lo que esté relacionado con el medio físico y natural, donde dicha pasión la adquirí desde bien pequeño.

Es por ello que no dudé en realizar la carrera de Ciencias Ambientales ya que quería una profesión donde pudiera contribuir a la protección del medio ambiente ya fuera de una manera directa o indirecta.

Siempre quise ser profesor pero debido a la crisis económica tuve que aparcar mi sueño y contribuí en diversas empresas en el departamento de calidad y medio ambiente.

Tras haber posibilidad lo intenté y he tenido la oportunidad de ser profesor de secundaria en la Comunidad de Andalucía.

Me trato de ser un profesor que busca impartir sus clases de una forma dinámica, huyendo de las estándares tradicionales de la enseñanza.
