Hi, my name is Matteo, I'm Italian, I'm 30 years old and I'm from Chioggia, a small town in the province of Venice. I live in Amsterdam, although I lived for 2 and a half years in Chile and the same number in Lisbon, Portugal. I love languages (I speak 6... for now...), cinema and sport! I am a professor with more than 5 years of experience in Official Institutes and in private lessons. I look forward to being able to help you achieve the results you want, with effective, fun methods, and with materials like texts and audiobooks that suit your level!

I have more than 5 years of teaching experience, both online and in person. I have worked for the Instituto Chileno-Suizo, the Italian Cultural Institute, the Dante Alighieri Association, and the Liceo Bicentenario Italia in Santiago, Chile. I graduated in foreign languages from CA Foscari University of Venice and obtained the DITALS certification from the University for Foreigners of Siena.

Given that my mothertongue is Italian, I would like to teach it to my students. My goal (and my passion) is to convey my knowledge of grammar and vocabulary to my students as best as I can, while also giving them information about the Italian culture.

My student-centred, needs-based classes are exclusively aimed at committed advanced teenagers and young adults who wish to improve their EN language skills and excel. Having started teaching when I was 15 (seriously!), I take pride in knowing what students want and need, relating to them and meeting, if not exceeding, their expectations.
I have taught in Greece, Spain and the UK in a British Council-accredited school. Along with my 15-year experience, I have obtained CELTA and have also acquired a Postgraduate (Level 7) Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DipTESOL). I've been preparing students for the A-Levels and GCSE (language + literature). I can prepare you for specific examinations, language lessons in general or teach you Italian for business. The lessons are for everyone, whatever their age or level (children to adults). I will make sure that you discover the Italian culture through the lessons, learn the correct pronunciation and of course learn some grammar.
