Trusted teacher: Aleksandra is a trained singer, singing teacher and choir conductor from the Academy of Music in Gdansk and Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in Barcelona. She took to the stage in her childhood and has been teaching music for the last 6 years. For several years she was a chorister of the prestigious Polish National Youth Choir and leader of Vocal Quintet Solifonia. Currently, she is a choir conductor and the founder of CHOIR CLUB in Korskolen. What can you expect from her teaching? She believes that singing can be passion, a communication tool, a means of therapy and so much more: more than you can imagine! In her classes, you will learn key vocal techniques as well as learning to understand your voice. You will discover the deeper meanings of the songs you sing as you seek to express them to the world. As she is working towards becoming an Accredited Teacher of IVTOM (International Voice Teachers of Mix) she focuses on delivering teaching based on the Mix principles: by mixing the chest and head voice you receive the full benefits of “both voices”: the natural and powerful sound of the chest voice, and the beauty and range of the head voice. As a singer learns to sing using both of these resonances and trains the vocal folds to stay together, it is possible to vocalize smoothly and evenly from one register to the next. The relationship of the two elements working together will create an even, smooth vocalization and, as a result, eliminates the “breaks” in the voice. She has a good knowledge of playing the piano, so you can sing along to her accompaniment or accompany yourself under her supervision. What does the first lesson include? Trusted teacher: Hi there! My name is Darius , I am from Germany and I am studying my Master's at the Rythmic Music Conservatory in "Music Performance". I've been playing the piano since the age of 5 years and I started teaching when I was 14 years old. I have experience teaching all levels, including young childres (>6) and adults of all age - teaching privately and in music schools ever since. I can offer basic to intermediate teaching in classical related and pop related piano / keyboards. Having a jazz background myself I can offer jazz lessons from basic to expert which might include preparing for auditions. I am very open to the interests of my students, but my only requirement is to take some time for people call "practising" - or just making yourself a nice time with music :) I also offer other music related teaching in music theory, "ear training", production etc. on all levels. I believe that we should do stuff that you're interested in. Maybe you'd like to learn this beautiful classical piano piece? Or you would like to play jazz piano? Or you'd like to accompany yourself on the piano? Anything is possible :) I also believe that lessons should not be work that you need to do or be good at... For me it's all about fun, creativity, imagination, and taking a break, relaxing, expressing, listening, experiencing, getting more sensitive.. enjoying music both listening to it and playing it yourself :) If you're interested, you can listen to my music in my hiphop/jazz band "Bokoya"! Lessons would take place at Rythmic Music Conservatory in Holmen (Bus 2A from Christianshavn) or (within a reach of 1052) in your home. Timing is pretty flexible. Very professional, she explains concepts naturally and makes them easy to understand. She gave me useful exercises and in the second session, I was already singing the songs I liked the most. She is also very kind and full of energy, you will for sure enjoy her classes.
