Are you ready to unlock the Russian language? The secret to success lies in a strong foundation. In this lesson, we will focus on the most important part of starting any language: Phonetics and Pronunciation. What makes this lesson special? I don’t use boring textbooks. Instead, I use exclusive presentations with rich illustrative materials. These visual aids help you create mental associations, making it much easier to memorize the Cyrillic alphabet and complex sounds. What we will do together: The Alphabet & Beyond: We’ll cover the letters, but more importantly, the sounds they make in real speech. Articulation Training: As a professional philologist, I will show you exactly how to produce those "tricky" Russian sounds like 'ы', 'ж', 'щ' or the difference between hard and soft consonants. Visual Learning: My bright and clear slides will guide you through every step, ensuring you don’t feel overwhelmed. First Words: You will leave the lesson knowing how to read basic words and introduce yourself. Who is this for? For absolute beginners: no prior knowledge required. Materials provided: I provide all necessary materials: a copy of the presentation, links to video or audio materials, and homework (if you choose to complete it).
Once you know the basics, the Dative Case is your next big step toward natural Russian. It is the case of kindness (giving), communication (calling), and even your own feelings and age! What makes this lesson different? Forget about endless grammar tables. As a university teacher with 25 years of experience, I show you the logic behind the endings. Why do we say "Мне нравится" instead of "Я нравлюсь"? Why does your age need the Dative case? We will answer these "whys" together. In this lesson, we will cover: The Logic of Giving: How to use verbs like give, call, help, and tell. Emotions & Age: Mastering the "Мне 20 лет" and "Мне холодно" constructions. Visual Patterns: My illustrated presentations will show you the endings in a way that’s easy to visualize and remember. Practical Practice: We will create real-life dialogues: "Buying a gift," "Calling a friend," and "Sharing your feelings." I use a communicative-cognitive approach. First, we see the pattern in a vivid illustration, then we understand the rule, and finally, we use it in a conversation. Elementary learners (A1): You should already be able to read and know basic Russian verbs. Intermediate refreshers: If you are confused about when to use the Dative case. My method is based on visual logic. Instead of memorizing grammar tables from a book, you will see how the language works through my PPTX slides. This approach is especially effective for the Dative case, as it allows you to 'see' the direction of the action (to whom/for what) through images and clear patterns."
Bon Appétit: Food, Flavors, and Lifestyle (Level B1) This lesson goes beyond the menu. We will explore how language describes our physical changes, the nuances of taste, and the colorful idioms Russians use when talking about food and personality. 🎯 Who is this lesson for? Level: B1 (Intermediate). Students who want to sound more natural by using common idioms. Learners interested in topics of health, nutrition, and lifestyle. What will we cover? Word Formation: How to turn adjectives into verbs of change. For example: худой → похудеть (thin → to lose weight), толстый → потолстеть (fat → to gain weight), старый → постареть. The Science of Food: Understanding nutrition labels in Russian. We will study белки (proteins), жиры (fats), and углеводы (carbohydrates). Flavors & Sensations: Descriptive vocabulary for tastes (bitter, sour, spicy) and how to use the verbs «удалось» (managed to) and «пришлось» (had to) in a culinary context. Idioms & Expressions: Master vivid phrases like: Свежий как огурчик (Fresh as a daisy/cucumber). Ни рыба ни мясо (Neither fish nor fowl — about a person). С кислым лицом (With a sour face — looking unhappy). Teaching Methodology and Materials Lexical Approach: We focus on how words are transformed and combined in real-life speech. Discussion: Tell us about your diet: what you had to give up and what you managed to achieve.
Level: A2 (Pre-Intermediate/Basic). It is perfect for students who have a grasp of basic Russian but want to move beyond simple phrases and start comparing objects, describing locations, and expressing opinions. Vocabulary Expansion: We will learn and practice essential antonyms used to describe surroundings, such as noisy/quiet (шумный/тихий), expensive/cheap (дорогой/дешёвый), and crowded/empty (многолюдный/пустой). Grammar Focus: We will master the comparative degree of adjectives (e.g., better, cleaner, more comfortable), which is vital for everyday communication at the A2 level. Speaking Practice: You will participate in a discussion about the pros and cons of city versus country living and create your own "ideal living situation" ranking. Communicative Approach: My goal is to get you speaking! I prioritize active conversation, where 70% of the lesson time is dedicated to your output. Interactive Materials: We will use visual aids, flashcards, and short situational dialogues to make learning intuitive and help you memorize new words faster. Supportive Environment: I provide gentle corrections and help you find the right words to build your confidence in speaking Russian. Required Skills To get the most out of this lesson, you should be familiar with the Russian alphabet, know how to read, and be able to construct basic sentences in the Present Tense. Don't worry about making mistakes with endings—at the A2 level, this is part of the process, and we will work on them together!
