I am a MSc in Civil Engineering, M.Sc in Finance and Economics, and an MBA graduate with over 14 years of experience teaching Mathematics up to the undergraduate level. Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of students and have successfully helped them excel in their studies. In addition to my extensive teaching background, I have more than 7 years of experience guiding students through standardized tests such as the GRE and SAT. I am specialized (>5 years of experience) in tutoring math for school (any level, but preferably higher level), including competitive exams such as the SAT, GRE, GMAT, and the IIT-JEE.

This class is aimed to train
1) high-school students undergoing VWO or an IB curriculum, who are having problems following math at school or university,
2) Anyone who wishes to take the VWO Math-A/B/C entrance examinations by Boswell or CCVX and wants to train for that.

Personally, I am currently working as a Quantitative Researcher of stock markets, and therefore analytical math is also a part of my job.

The classes could be rigorous or lenient depending on the student. There will be periodic homework and I'll make sure that the student achieves her/his desired goals.

I have been a statistics teacher now for close to 20 years. First as a teacher at university and for the last 7 years as a private tutor. I like to help people like you actually understand statistics. Statistics is really quite simple, it's just often being explained in an unnecessarily complicated way. If you didn't get anything your teacher said...sometimes that isn't your fault. Sometimes that just means the teacher wasn't able to translate the ideas they were trying to teach you into simple enough words.

It might be hard to believe but statistics can even be fun and it's fun to see people finally get it and start to smile while they are learning :)

Al sinds het Gymnasium geef ik bijles Wiskunde, Natuurkunde, Scheikunde, Latijn en taalcusussen latijnse talen Portugees Spaans Frans en Italiaans van niveau basis of beginner tot niveau Gymnasium. Voor Basisschoolleerlingen ook rekenen bijvoorbeeld met breuken en procenten en alle andere modules. Ook nederlandse grammatica en spelling.

I am a cum laude Aerospace Engineering graduate from TU Delft and have helped other pupils with their problems since 2017. My name is Daniel. I was raised bilingual with the Dutch and Portuguese language. I can also communicate well in English.

I have actively worked with these languages both during my education and at work and in my private life. Switching between these 3 languages is no problem for me. I have been teaching since 2019 for various schools as well as privately.

From my own experience I have experienced how lost you can sometimes feel as a person in a foreign language environment. Therefore, I give tutoring / language lessons Dutch -and Portuguese to (still) non-Dutch/Portuguese speaking persons. I have the possibility to teach online.

Heeft jouw kind moeite met een bepaald vak of wil hij/zij extra oefenen voor de doorstroomtoets, CITO of IEP? Misschien is leren lastig door ADHD, dyslexie of een ander leerprobleem. Ik help graag om jouw kind weer met meer zelfvertrouwen te laten leren!

Na jaren als groepsleerkracht (groep 1 t/m 8) te hebben gewerkt geef ik nu online begeleiding en bijles aan leerlingen die net dat beetje extra hulp nodig hebben. Met mijn ervaring en vakkennis bied ik persoonlijke ondersteuning bij verschillende vakken en help ik kinderen goed voorbereid naar de middelbare school.

Elke les is 100% afgestemd op het niveau, de (leer)behoefte en de leerstijl van de leerling: spelenderwijs, met meer herhaling of juist veel afwisseling. Jij als ouder blijft altijd betrokken: na elke les ontvang je een korte terugkoppeling en we bespreken regelmatig de voortgang.

Tijdens - en vooral ook na - mijn jaren als groepsleerkracht in het basisonderwijs heb ik veel (vak)didactische en pedagogische kennis opgedaan. Mijn aanpak is theoretisch onderbouwd. Ik werk met gestructureerde materialen, ben op de hoogte van de verschillende lesmethodes die op school gebruikt worden en blijf zelf ook leren.

Visueel
Veel kinderen begrijpen en onthouden beter als ze het kunnen zien. Vaak helpt een schema, een tekening of een afbeelding heel erg om iets te begrijpen. Door middel van 'visual thinking' worden dingen inzichtelijk en onthoud je het ook beter! In mijn online lessen delen we daarom samen een virtueel whiteboard, waar we allebei aantekeningen op kunnen maken.

Volgens het principe Leren Zichtbaar Maken neem ik leerlingen mee in hun leerproces. Samen zoeken we uit welke leerdoelen al goed gaan en welke nog niet zijn behaald. Ik maak een plan van aanpak met daarin gerichte oefeningen, strategieën en ondersteuning, afgestemd op de behoeften van je kind. Aan het begin van elke les bespreken we aan welke doelen we gaan werken en gedurende de les kijken we daarop terug.
