Hello, welcome to my profile! My name is Richard, nice to meet you! I'm a Dutch (Netherlands) piano teacher and concert pianist with 25 years of experience. As a piano teacher, I have extensive experience with students of all ages and levels, as well as different music styles. I hold a Master's degree in Music in both piano performance and as a piano teacher. For the past 25 years, I have been teaching piano lessons (both individual and group lessons) at several music schools in the Netherlands, as well as private piano lessons in various European countries and the USA. I'm available for in-person piano lessons at your home or at my studio, but I can also teach online (via Zoom), if you prefer so. I speak fluent English, Spanish, German, Dutch, and basic Italian, so I can teach in all of these languages. As a concert pianist, I have made numerous concert tours as a soloist and played with renown orchestras in several countries, including Germany, France, the Netherlands, UK, and United Arab Emirates. Furthermore, I won prizes in several prestigious piano competitions, made various TV-, radio and album recordings, and attended masterclasses with world-renown pianists such as the master pianists Murray Perahia, Jacques Rouvier, Emanual Ax and Igor Roma. My piano lessons are for students of all ages and levels, who would like to learn or improve their piano playing. Although my background is in classical repertoire, I also have experience in teaching popular and film music, among other types of music. I love all kinds of music, and I'm definitely open to teaching you how to play your favorite songs. My lessons include learning and improving piano technique, reading sheet music (if not already mastered), playing by ear, music theory, musicality development, and fostering enjoyment in playing this beautiful instrument. My name is Federica and I am a Pianist from Italy. I recently completed my Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy at the “Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana” with Prof. Alessandro D'Onofrio in Lugano. I completed my Bachelor degree at Conservatory “C. Pollini” in Padua achieving the honours with Prof. Massimo De Ascaniis and afterwards, in 2020, I obtained my soloist-concert Master in Piano with Prof. Riccardo Zadra at Conservatory “A. Pedrollo ” in Vicenza. During my studies I also attended an annual advanced course in Piano at Music Academy in Sacile with Prof. Stefania Redaelli. I have always been interested in chamber music and in 2016/2018 I attended a post Graduation Course in Chamber Music with prof. Giampaolo Pretto at “Scuola di Musica di Fiesole”.

27 years old classical pianist from Brazil and currently based between Canada and Brazil, holds a Master's Degree in Music Psychology and Performance, and currently concluding the Doctorate (PhD) in Music Psychology and Performance – final stages and thesis defense. Also had studied at the Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil), the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and l'Université d'Ottawa (Canada). His pedagogical specialty has focused on the early ages – for now 11 years of experience –, and being his doctoral thesis (under construction) based on creativity, expressiveness and emotional communication by children and adolescents in pianistic performances.

At my class you’ll be able to learn playing any kind of music on the piano - starting from classical to jazz/pop. I can even make transcription of any pop songs for the piano when needed. The lessons will also include the basic knowledge of music theory.

I am educated and experienced music teacher coming from Czech Republic. I graduated Prague Conservatoire and I also attended in many international piano courses with well known pianist such as Eugen Indjic and others. I have experiences with teaching children from very early age as well as teaching adults. I have my own way of teaching playing the piano small children with telling stories and playing games with piano which is very effective. The length of the lesson will be tailored to the age and skill level of the student. For beginners with no prior experience, we will begin with the fundamentals of music theory and practical exercises to build dexterity on the piano. For students who already know how to read sheet music, we will work on a diverse range of pieces from different musical styles, with an emphasis on piano technique and expression. I teach Piano in a fun, laid-back and casual way, always structuring my lessons around the students' needs and tastes. Please note: I specifically do not teach piano with notations or scores of any sort. My method of teaching is based on playing by ear, with emphasis on the music and the joy in playing it, rather than the theory. Notation is great and theory is important - I studied these myself; however, I have found that learning an instrument by ear is a far deeper, enjoyable and progressive way to get to know your instrument. I also place importance on technique and memorization, again tailoring these to the needs and wishes of the student. My methods have proven very successful and I'm confident your playing will improve quickly! Some background to my instruments: Piano: I initially taught myself the piano and took lessons later on. My main or favourite styles on the piano are: Blues & Boogie Woogie, Traditional Jazz, Rock n' Roll, Pop and Soul. I love many forms of Classical music as well. Guitar: I taught myself guitar as a kid and play both acoustic and electric. My favourite styles on the guitar are, on the one hand, heavy Rock, Metal and Punk, and on the other gentle Jazz, Blues and ballads :-) Drums: this became my main gigging instrument between '10 and '20. I mostly focus on funky grooves, hard Rock or Metal, Pop, Jazz, Swing; some rudiments, lots of grooves :-)

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.
