Piano lessons to learn how to play the piano well for all levels

In my course I'm offering to share my knowledge and passion with you, whether your preference lies with classical or otherwise. I work best with more advanced students to be able to go more in depth but would be happy to welcome any level of playing in my class.

In a way I'd like to think that everything is in connection with everything else. A musician is not only a musician, but also a painter, poet, dancer (though in my case that last one can't be taken literally) and even a scientist. Why do I say this? Because I can teach you how to observe and learn from these connections which will improve your musicality, problem solving skills, technical skills, memorisation and many other aspects of your music playing - and life in general.

Welcome to my class!

Education

I started my studies in the local academy after which my passion for music was very clear. I looked for a secondary music school where I studied for 3 years. During this time, I met Sergej Leschenko with whom I still study. Since my conservatory years, I also study with Polina Leschenko, who is a world renowned pianist and an incredible influence.

Experience / Qualifications

Over the years I have worked with pianists such as Polina Leschenko, András Schiff, Christian Zacharias, Elisabeth Leonskaja, amongst others. I have played a considerable amount of repertoire in concert halls around Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Germany where I also won several prizes.

How do I learn to play the piano as quickly as possible? Private lessons Antwerp!
How do I learn to play the piano as quickly as possible? A question that I am asked every day. The answer is simple: - Find a fantastic piano mentor - Practice regularly - not for long, but EFFICIENTLY - Playing the piano is auditory, but also VISUAL - Note learning lessons are unnecessary in this digital age - use the right apps My piano lesson focuses on: - Finger Flexibility / Keyboard Insight / Understanding Harmony - 50% technique - 50% fun (although technique practice can also be fun!) Pianistic greetings! Alex

Javier
PROFESSIONAL GUITARIST WITH MORE THAN 15 YEARS OF TEACHING EXPERIENCE - ALL LEVELS
Hello, my name is Javier. I am a guitarist, composer, sound technician and music producer. I work professionally, especially in contemporary Jazz. Don't hesitate to look for me on Google, Spotify and YouTube! During more than 15 years of experience as a teacher, I have developed several methods and exercises for teaching guitar and music (songs, theory, composition, improvisation, harmony, etc.) for students of all levels and all ages. I have already had students from 6 years old to 74. I believe that the most important thing is that the students manage to find the motivation to practice regularly with the pleasure of progressing. //METHOD// The most common is the use of songs that the student chooses and take advantage of this to work on more general concepts of music and the guitar which are important to acquire a solid base without bad habits. For more advanced students the learning process is determined together by setting personal goals. The teaching method is totally focused on the individual needs of each student. Students with any level of knowledge in music (self-taught, beginners, advanced ...) are accepted. //INTERVIEW// 01 - Since when did you develop a passion for music and more particularly for your favourite instrument? - I became interested in the guitar at the age of ten. I had a friend who played "Blackbird" music by The Beatles and I was fascinated. From there, I started to study and I continue to learn today. 02 - What music can you listen to on repeat with the same pleasure (and without going crazy)? - Beethoven's Seventh Symphony. 03 - Tell us about the most difficult or amazing lesson you have given! - It would be a class where I have to explain the major and minor tonality and all its variants in one hour of class. But I will get there! 04 - In your opinion, what is the most complicated instrument to master and why? - It was impossible to answer. Each person has different predispositions. For me to play the piano at a high level would be complicated for the need for independence of the right and left hands. In this sense, the guitar is easier. 05 - What are, for you, the keys to success (apart from those of Sol and Fa)? - CONSTANCE, it's always better to practice a little every day than a lot once in a while. PATIENCE, learning an instrument takes time. You have to learn to coordinate the body and the brain and take new paths from time to time. And the most important : DON'T BE AFRAID OF MAKING MISTAKES, to learn it is essential to make mistakes and this should not be a reason to stop practising, on the contrary, it should be a motivation to improve. 06 - Name 3 musicians with whom you would dream of jamming in a bar at 2 a.m. and tell us why! - Tigran Hamasyan, Reinier Baas, Avishai Cohen (bassist) 07 - An anecdote to tell in relation to your job or your schooling (and not necessarily the party you had after entering the Conservatory)? - When I started giving lessons (I was 17), I had a 10-year-old student, when I suggested things to do, he looked me directly in the eye and said: No! But with patience, after a while, I managed to make a connection with him and at the end of the 3 years he played the guitar very well and we became friends. Now he is more or less 25 years old. 08 - What is the little touch that makes you a special teacher adored by all his students? - I am very patient and I always find the best way to explain for each student.

CLASSIC GUITAR: lessons for everyone at every level
Classical guitar is one of the most beautiful and versatile instruments out there! You can play music from all styles and from all times. But learning to play the guitar is not something you do alone: you need someone who will guide you personally and help you discover what you can get out of your instrument. So do you dream of starting to make music yourself but don't know where to start? Or have you been playing for some time, but are you looking for a more personal approach in your lessons? Then you've come to the right place! I'm Warre and I've been playing classical guitar for over 16 years. A few years ago I decided to go for a life as a professional musician and enrolled at a conservatory. This year I completed my Master of Music at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven. I have been teaching guitar for several years now. I look forward to meeting my students every week. Few things are more fun than watching someone discover music and get so much fun out of it! No prior musical knowledge is required. If you are a total beginner, we will start from scratch. And it's never too late to get started! Of course, more experienced players are also welcome for lessons that are completely tailored to your needs. Lessons at my home in the center of Antwerp or online. Current availabilities valid until the end of August.

I am also in pedagogy training at the Conservatory of Mons. I propose to give lessons at home, I adapt to each student, according to the time he devotes to the instrument and his tastes. The approach of the instrument for beginners can be done in a "classic" way (through exercises, studies, pieces) or more playful. I can also give notions of music theory in addition! Possibility also to work only by ear. I focus a lot on the feeling, the relaxation and the posture, so that playing the violin is still a pleasure. I can give classes in French or English.

LEARN TO LISTEN TO SEVERAL NOTES/VOICES AT ONCE WITH A HIGHLY TRAINED AND EXPERIENCED FRENCH CONSERVATORY PROFESSOR
All levels (from beginners to graduate students and professionals). All ages. When? Please drop me a line and we will try and find a time for you. Listening to several voices at once certainly is one of the most rewarding skills a musician can have, or can acquire. And, no, this is not only for those who are born with this gift. If you listen to music without being able to discriminate precisely the different layers of sound, you already know music is beautiful. I was like that a couple years ago. (Well, provided my gray hair, it must actually be many years ago). I can surely say that being able to listen to several voices at once has brought me much joy! Music became absolutely wonderful! When you can precisely hear the various voices, then you become aware of all the notes that are played, as if some nice new lights were shed on the music. Not only can you enjoy the music more, but as you play you can now shape all the voices in the best possible way, or if you play a duo for instance, you can be sensitive to the way the other musician plays, and musically respond to his or her interpretation. As a musician, that is a life-changing experience, a “must!” That can be learned, slowly but surely, with method. Now, when I say slowly but surely, I talk about mastery. But if we are talking about being able to listen for the first time to an additional note at once, this is usually quite quick (I'd say one lesson, two weeks at most). So, what can we work on? Harmonic intervals, recognizing chords, discriminating notes within a 4 voice chord or aggregate (i.e. hearing the precise voicing of an isolated chord), learning to listen to counterpoint precisely, you name it. That should be based on where you are at, and what you would like to achieve. Anything is possible. Let's talk about it and get started! Although perhaps you want to know this first: My students often tell me I am very patient. I'd rather say I am understanding and straightforward. Actually, please know that I am also demanding: While there is no difficulty that I cannot understand, (and I found it absolutely thrilling to find a solution when the student seems stuck) yet I am not interested in approximation. If after reading this, you are still interested, please drop me a line! I am here to share my passion with you! Sincerely, YOUR Prof. PS: I use fixed DO solfège (French way), but if you don't that's okay!
