Calligraphy is needed in many ways, from place cards to decorations, invitations to thank you cards. Work in calligraphy since 2013 and having taught since 2015, I have taught modern English calligraphy classes, watercolor calligraphy, to calligraphy on glass, from basic to advanced levels, from elementary school children to the general public. The final goal of the class is to make participants understand how to write calligraphy good and in a right way. If you have never touched any calligraphy, please don't worry. The beginner level is really starting to write calligraphy from the base, from one line to another. While the intermediate level is about recognizing and discovering the characteristics of each individual in each work, exploring each style in the modern English calligraphy. Entering the next level, we will start learning about flourishes and swashes.

Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 9 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the nimbs. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

Colorimetry is a fundamental tool to begin to understand the behavior of colors, where they come from, and how to obtain them. We will see the color wheel, primary and secondary colors, and how to apply them to create different types of palettes. In turn, we will see the triads of colors to generate cold and warm palettes, and you will experience first-hand how to create those colors. We will also have a brief part of research into pigments (the source of color) and works of art throughout history, to see the use of different painting techniques. Since we are going to focus in our classes on color theory, it is not strictly necessary that you know how to draw or paint, or that you have knowledge of perspective or others. This course is designed to complement your knowledge of art and improve your ability to choose the colors and palette you want to work with. As a bonus, this course will also help you apply your knowledge when applying makeup or applying makeup, since if it is something that interests you, let me know and we will incorporate it into the course. We will see how to apply colors according to the person's eye color and skin tones.
