I’m an experienced drummer. I’ve played for many years across all genres with live bands. My classes really focus on new drummers wanting to get out gigging with live bands. Yes we will work on rudiments and fundamentals, but more importantly I’ll teach you how to work with other musicians, what to expect in a live scenario, the issues you may experience, the great things you’ll also experience, but most importantly how to have fun with your drums.

During my years of experience as a teacher, I developed different methods and exercises to teach drumming and music from beginners to advanced students. more important in my function is to have the ability to adapt since each student needs an individual and specific approach. Thus, although my teaching method is based on standardized concepts and exercises, the most important thing is to adapt to each student. I think the main interest is that the students can find the motivation to practice the instrument since the true learning is built by oneself. In this end, the most common is to use the songs chosen by the student and from this point of departure, to highlight the concepts that must be acquired.When it involves students of more advanced levels, I try to focus the teaching on a goal given together.

I am a professor of drums for several years in Paris and Ile de France. I took classes at the Departmental Radiation Conservatory of Montreuil. I play music (piano and drums) since my earliest childhood and want to share my knowledge.

This course is for children as adults!
It aims to play music and have fun learning.
The pedagogy is flexible and is especially adapted to the student, ie his age, his desires, his goals, the amount of work he can provide, etc.

I also organize workshops for primary schools, allowing children to discover percussion while having fun.

Professional musician, I hold the DEM, diploma of musical studies delivered to the CRR of Cergy Pontoise. I play drums since small, my father being a professional drummer and percussionist. In 2010, I graduated with a gold medal on my instrument, awarded unanimously.

WORKING METHOD:

My course is composed of several parts: Exercises of technique (one can not cut there), work of rhythmic patterns on partitions (no player no worries), work on CD, hear cycles, development of musical listening, drum solo development, how to write your own rhythms ...

I am open to all styles of music: rock, latin, funk, jazz, hip-hop, variety ... I often propose to work on pieces appreciated by my students. I raise them and we work together. We work with more ardor on a music that we like!

I have multiple formations with which I evolve. When you teach, it is very important to practice the scene. This keeps this passion for music still alive. I often invite my students to listen to me on stage. It's interactive and often very fun because we can talk concretely about what is being discussed. It is also important for a teacher to "put himself in danger" in front of his students. To work well with a teacher, you must also love the way you play.

SPECIAL CHILDREN:

- With the little ones (5-7 years), it will be a question of becoming familiar with the instrument in order to favor a first discovery of the universe of the sounds and the musical practices.

- With older children (8 - 14) a course of knowledge of music in its basic notions will be developed. Starting from these primary elements, a practical work of playful orchestration will take place. Which will be accompanied by an activity aimed at acquiring theoretical knowledge (geographical, musical, historical) and practical knowledge (percussion orchestra, basics of different techniques).
