Learn how to play electric guitar with an English speaking teacher

I am a pro guitar player with 30 years' experience. I play in the US rock band One Eleven Heavy but am based here in Valencia, Spain.

I will take you through the basics of guitar playing - forming chord shapes, learning picking and strumming techniques, playing simple songs. Once we have a few basics down, I will start to take you through various scales and modes, enabling you to learn how guitar players construct chords and solos, all of which lead to the ability to write songs.

We can start at your level and work at your pace. Each and every learner has her/his own speed and style of learning and that will be fully taken into account. We can devise a programme of learning before you even pick up the guitar to practise. Ideally classes will take place in my home in Náquera, Valencia, as face-to-face work is much more conducive to achievement, but I am also available to educate online via Zoom/Teams.

I am not a Spanish speaker, so these classes are primarily for those who speak English. However, we can very likely proceed even if you don't speak English as music is, of course, universal.

Nick began playing guitar at the age of 13, studying at the Yamaha Music School in West Yorkshire, UK. He began playing professionally a few short years later. Today, he plays in the US-based psychedelic-country-rock band One Eleven Heavy.

His recorded work has been lauded by prominent publications such as The Wire, Mojo, Uncut, Shindig, and NPR amongst others. Nick's teaching style is laidback, friendly, student-centered and evenly paced.

I offer violin, viola, and music theory lessons for all levels. I can adapt to any schedule and need.
I have 8 years of experience as a teacher in private classes and music schools. During all these years as a teacher, I have been able to experiment and learn from my students to develop a pedagogical method that is adapted to the needs of each person. My main objective is for the student to learn the technique of the instrument through musicality so that he can enjoy and create while learning.

I obtained the Higher Degree in Music in 2015 at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Orchestral Specialization from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2017. Recently, I have finished my Master in Musical Interpretation at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Antwerpen (Belgium) with Cum Laude. I am a pianist and piano teacher with more than thirty years of experience, with a higher degree from the Valencia Conservatory.

I studied at the Conservatory with the two professors Mario Monreal and Perfecto García Chornet, as well as with the pianist Margarita Roda and Patricio Pizarro, renowned pianist, disciple of Emeric Stefaniai, director of the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, Hungary, who bequeathed me a great knowledge of the Hungarian and Russian school, being very effective for middle and higher grade students.

I teach piano classes for all levels and ages, in my piano studio in Alboraya, as well as at the student's home, traveling to the entire city of Valencia and the surrounding towns, as well as further afield studying supplements. I also teach online classes.

I also prepare for conservatory exams, auditions, recitals and competitions.
