As I have studied a wide range of dance styles and techniques, I hold vast experience in how one wants to devise their movement practice and understand the creative developments within dance history and theory. This class can be movement-based or discussion-based, and will be driven by the uses of breath and imagination to explore the limits of curiosity and physicality.

As a professional dancer, teacher, and performance maker I am creative, dynamic, full of awareness, and versatile. I teach contemporary dance, floor work, contact improvisation, acrobatics, ballet, modern jazz, and fitness. My classes are focused on musicality, anatomy, energy flow, improvisation, and personal artistry. The classes are tailored, designed, and adjusted regarding the specific needs, capabilities, uniqueness, and artistic voice of each individual. During the past years, I have developed a methodology entitled The Transcendental Embodiment (TTE) | Behind & Beyond. Bharatnatyam is structured according to the examinations conducted by the University. It typically takes about 6-7 years to complete the examinations. You can learn it for fun as well without actually wanting to go through exams. It has immense health benefits and good cardio workout. Bollywood, on the other hand, is energetic and fun-filled and can be learnt one song at a time. I usually assess the ability of the student to grasp the movements and teach accordingly. It can take anywhere between 2 weeks to 4 months to learn a complete Bollywood dance item.

Influences from Early singing, but have sung different classical, and earlier, non-classical styles.

For the advanced level (you already know how to dance on roller skates) I suggest that you make your movements more fluid by correcting the posture and by incorporating the arms, to take steps at a higher level, but also to help you create your own "routine" (small loop representing your signature)

I specialize in Bollywood dance and I am a trained Indian classical dancer (Bhartanatyam). I started dancing at the age of 3. I received a dance scholarship at the Terence Lewis Dance Company where I trained in ballet basics, jazz, contemporary, basic ballroom and nutrition. My class is ideal for those wanting to learn the vibrant Indian dance but are also interested in body conditioning. Bollywood choreographies will often be fused with other dance forms from India like Garba, Bangra, Lavani. In a 60 mins class: 15 mins will be given to body conditioning and remaining 45 mins for dance In a 90 mins class: 30 mins will be given to body conditioning and balance 1 hour for dance Some sessions students will be encouraged to come up with their own short choreography.
