I am a visual artist from Ecuador, I graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia with a Degree in Industrial Design and Accessory Design, and finished my Masters degree in Art Therapy at School of Visual Arts in New York. I have worked as an Art therapist and as an Art Teacher, working in various schools. I have also worked with adolescents and adults, in the United States and in Ecuador, therefore my classes can be both in english and Spanish. Learning English through art is always a plus :) When in my art classes, I am passionate about combining methods, modalities and ideas to create a meaningful and positive experience. I understand that the power of creation paves the way to better understand the self. Learning about new artists and their techniques is also a key aspect of the classes, learning from them and choosing what you want to take from their work. Art therapy is the study to better understand the self through art making, using the creative process to find personal strengths, in art therapy you will create to be present.
