The grand scale of Do, or (Maqam Do Ajam), consists of seven tones, and the eighth tone is an answer to the first tone. The tones are arranged starting with the tone of Do, which is in the middle of the piano keyboard. The scale is applied from the bottom to the top, towards the right hand, that is, from left to right, and ends on The pitch of the “du” at the top of the keyboard is the answer to the basic “du” tone, where the tone or sound number eight is the same as the base sound (du). It is called the answer tone, and the answer tone is in (a sharp pitch).
How do we recognize the D tone on the piano keyboard?
We notice the presence of black keys on the piano keyboard, and these black keys are grouped in twos and threes.
So how do we recognize the du tone? We can know the du tone through the binary groups. The white colored du tone is located directly to the left of the binary group, meaning it is the first sound that follows the binary group.
The Do major scale is a white piano keyboard, meaning it is seven letters repeated in thick or sharp pitches.
There is an important piece of information that you must know, which is that the rule that forms the Do ladder is the same rule that must be applied to extract the rest of the large western stairs, so you should focus a little in this lesson.
When we want to go up the stairs, we go up a rung, then a rung, then a rung, and so on until the end of the stairs. This applies to the D major scale, as we move from the D major note, then the next note, then the next one, then the next note, and this only happens (on the white piano keyboard). ) all the way to the eighth tone, which is the tone of “do answer.”
So how can we know the De Major scale with the names of the rest of the tones of the scale?
Kalati (read from left to right) is C-Do-Ra-Me-Fa-Sol--La-Si-(Do) and this is on the white piano keyboard only.
So how can we know the rule for the formation of the major Do scale?
First, we must get to know the half-tone scale or the choromatic scale, which is a scale that starts from the white do tone and ends at the do answer tone, but in this scale you must go through all the tones.
The black and white pianos in order, arriving at the tone of the answer, which is called the half-step scale, in which the sound moves half a step, then half a step, then half a step, and so on until the chord scale is completed.
The base or movements of the Do Major or Do major scale are as follows: - From the base tone (Do to Ra) it is a full degree - From Ra to Me it is a degree - From Me-Fa it is a half degree because there is no black key between them - And from Fa to Sol it is a degree -And from Sol to La a degree - From La to Si a degree - And from Si to a tone The answer is Do is half a degree because there is no black key between them).
In this way, we have become acquainted with the Dou el-Kebir movement, which is the basis for drawing the grand western stairs, which is as follows (one degree, then one degree, then half a degree, then one degree - one degree - one degree - half a degree)
This rule is applied to the rest of the musical tones

Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level
I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.
I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Voice Lessons for Young/Inexperienced Singers - Classically Focused
These lessons are for young and/or inexperienced singers. My lesson plans are tailored towards students' individual goals. For some, this may be learning and embodying an audition song for their school's upcoming theater performance, and for others voice lessons are a first step towards singing healthily in their church choir. In any case, I focus on correcting and building core skills necessary to singing one's best while encouraging and fostering creativity, accountability, and motivation.
If considered for a long-term journey towards singing, I will focus particularly on classical techniques to build steady breath control, good posture, and proper vowel and consonant formation. Along with providing repertoire, if the student is ready and wants, there will be opportunities for vocal performance in the Santa Cruz area. I will encourage audio recordings in all lessons to help with future preparations. I will be assigning some homework after every lesson, likely a combination of vocalization exercises, dedicated sheet music practice, and theory homework (if needed).
*My first lesson will involve getting to know the student, their goals, and some vocalization to assess vocal level. For singers with minimal/no prior foundational music theory knowledge, I may recommend time from lessons (15-30 minutes) being allocated solely towards foundational music theory learning.

Private guitar lessons for every level: from basic chords to out of the box improvisation
Hey!
My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels.
For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that!
Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;)
I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example.
The lessons would take place at my home in Mol or via webcam. If necessary, we can always agree on something else.
Be sure to let me know if you have any questions and I will answer as soon as possible.
See you soon!
Richard

Oud and oriental Arabic singing lessons with an experienced teacher
Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years.
My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. With determination and hard work, significant progress can be made in a year, allowing one to play simple melodies.
Please feel free to leave me a message, I will reply as soon as possible.
Piano lessons for all levels and ages
A conservatory graduate and music theory teacher gives piano lessons.
All styles combined (classical, rock, accompaniment piano, etc.)
Method suitable for the little ones 4-5 years old
First course without obligation.
Professional jazz musician teaching jazz, blues, funk, R&B, pop, rock, latin and classical piano.
I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard.
My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student.
Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you.
A bit about me:
Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. The video shown below is from my stint playing and directing 'After Midnight', a show set to the music of the Duke Ellington Big Band.
Learn how to play Piano (or Keyboard) at your own pace.
Have you ever wanted to learn to play the piano/keyboard but don't know where to start? Are you regretting giving up learning the piano/keyboard when you were younger? Do you feel that your current progress in playing the piano/keyboard is being held back?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes then please contact me. I always try to ensure that each individual student's interests are catered for. If you want to play for pleasure then I will encourage you to learn pieces that you like. Alternatively, if you are more interested in achievement, in terms of taking graded exams, then this is the pathway that we will take.
Enjoyment is the key to success as it leads to a desire to practise. So tayloring the class to your needs is absolutely essential and I am very keen to work with you to achieve this goal.
