I specialize in teaching Greek to beginners and intermediate students, providing them the foundation to master this difficult language. I cover topics such as word order, grammar, spoken vs. written Greek, conversational and every day Greek, as well as spelling, writing, and pronunciation. Each class can be tailored to the students individual needs. This class is for anybody who just wants to improve speaking/writing, as well as for those just starting out.
Lessons can be given online, or in person.
Greek is a language that is increasingly spoken, and is useful in many aspects of life, including but not limited to: biology, geometry, medical terminology, etc. With Greece's economy growing, it is an ideal destination to move either as an expat, digital nomad, or as a startup company. Hello, my name is Joanna, I'm originally from America and I live in Rotterdam. I teach modern Greek to both beginners and intermediate students, specializing in speaking, reading, and writing. Each individual lesson is tailored to your needs, as everybody learns differently! I am a native speaker and believe in using as many tools at our disposal as possible: books, movies, music, podcasts, whatever it is that you prefer, is how the program will be tailored.

Following that exotic experience, I decided to change course and study Anthropology all the while teaching French as a Second Language on a freelance basis. I moved to the Netherlands just recently and have decided to continue practicing as a French tutor. I have also tutored English classes in France for five years.

What? I offer French or FLE (French as a Second Language) courses based on multiple sources and I regularly renew them because it is important to be in adequacy with today's society. As I just started learning Dutch, I teach in English all the while aiming for 90% French during the class.
