I am Laura , a Spanish woman living in The Hague. I have been teaching and helping high school students with their homework and study methods since 2014 as a private tutor. I have experience as a language teacher in different schools in Madrid (extracurricular activities) for children between 3 and 10 years old. I work as a Spanish teacher since 2019 in various countries, helping numerous students to improve their speaking, listening and writing skills.

I studied Nutrition and Dietetics (4 years bachelor) at Complutense University of Madrid. Later and determined by my love for languages, I completed the BA in Linguistics in Leiden University, following the Brain and Cognition specialization, which focuses in how language and second languages learning works in a neural level.

Depending on the goal, the learning or lesson method is different. Normally, the first day I meet the student and we talk about what he or she expects and the topics we need to pay more attention. Hi there!

I am Salina and half Spanish and half American although I have lived all my life in the south of Spain, in Cádiz and Seville.

I have over 8 years of experience teaching English to children and 2 years of experience teaching conversational English to adults. My classes focus on acquiring fluency when speaking, improving pronunciation and expanding vocabulary. If you are looking to learn grammar strictly, I'm afraid you'll have to look for another teacher!

I adapt the classes to what the student needs, looking for topics that are useful for him or her depending on the area in which they intend to speak the language. I use a lot of visual aids to make learning more interactive and dynamic.

A little more about myself: I studied Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Seville and although it has little to do with languages, I am passionate about them! I speak Italian, which I learned during university and later living in Italy for a few months. I am currently in Ghent studying a master in Graphic Design and I combine it with teaching Spanish for adults and English for children.

My name is Dani and I am Mexican. I always ask my students about their specific goals and their preferred way of learning a language. In my classes I like to take a conversational approach, but this depends entirely on the needs of my students. I use different books with different didactic material, mostly Aula Plus and Bitacora. I also try to practice all skills: talking, writing and listening. If the student wants it, I leave homework, which I correct during the week before the next lesson, so that we can make the most of the lesson time. I share a word or phrase of the week with my students to build a useful vocabulary. Teaching is my passion. I feel motivated by the progress of my students, which I believe also keeps them motivated. German and Spanish are my native languages and I speak fluent English, I also speak fluent Dutch (with a little accent). Therefore, I can explain concepts in all these languages. However, I prefer to speak Spanish as much as possible, also for the beginners lessons, because I believe that people learn the language better that way.

I have a FPELE certificate: Spanish as a Foreign Language Teacher Training. And I have taught A1 to B2 level at a language institute in Spain.

I was born in Italy, but I have spent the last two years of my life traveling the world, mainly in Central and South America and the Middle East and Central Asia, traveling and working remotely.
